The Bold Thady Quill in Kenmare

2 nights, on the later end of an 11 day trip, was a great choice! Such an amazing property, and the location can't be beat. We had a "Little Nest" room, which is a good description of the place. The room it self was perfectly sized for us, however the bathroom is tiny. I mean, you have to step out of it, to change your mind. Beyond the small bathroom, everything else was great. Be sure to get the coconut margarita in the bar. We weren't sure if breakfast was included, which upon check out, we realized it wasn't. The breakfast room (café attached to the hotel) took our room number, but didn't indicate if it was included or not, when we ordered. Keep this in mind when booking. Very good food tho. The out door seating in front of the hotel is amazing for having a relaxing drink, and watching the world go by, in the quant town of Kenmare. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's worth the money.

I loved to pop into the Landsdown when I went into Kenmare for tea and cake in the cafe. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day, hardly any cake available, I ordered a slice of the gluten-free bakewell cake, and it was stale. I sat outside, waiting for 10 minutes. The cafe was not busy. The quality was always fantastic, and I hope this is just a blip.

The staff make this hotel a very special experience..from arrival to the in-betweens ..easy comfortable hotel with old school charm , manners and personality..Eve & Garry were the welcoming team & definitely set the tone for a very enjoyable stay ...well done all @landsdowne

We stopped by chance in Kenmare during our roadtrip. We were looking for a place to drink a coffee but everything was closed. We walked in the lansdowne hotel to ask if we could drink something. The receptionist welcomed us warmly. The menu seemed so good that we couldn’t just drink a coffee! The waitresses were amazingly kind! We had a lovely time, ate a delicious breakfast for a good price! Thank you so much for your hospitality

Highly recommend for a stay in Kenmare. Very comfy rooms. Lovely food. Bedroom fully equipped complete with a personalised handwritten welcome note. Very friendly engaging staff. Open fires very atmospheric. I left an item behind me in my room and it was posted back to me the next day. Wonderful service. A definite 5 stars from me!

We stayed here for a night with family members between Christmas and New Year. The hotel was lovely and cosy, and epitomised hospitality. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. All in all it was a fabulous experience and we look forward to staying there again.
