Great visit to this cafe during the Hinterland Festival. Was busy but staff were excellent and attentive, particularly Rosie. Generous portions and a definite recommendation.

Gorgeous wee cafe in Kells. The staff are very friendly, food was yummy, and the secondhand book selection was excellent. We will definitely stop here again.

We needed a place that served gluten free options. Excellent choices available. Staff were so helpful, especially the girl with the sparkly eyeshadow. Highly recommend

Myself and my friend stumbled upon this gorgeous little place this morning and im so glad we did. Ive recently just moved here to kells and still finding my feet. This place was so welcoming and warm. It was like just sitting at home 😊 we had two breakfasts and the kiddies had a lovely time too, we will definitely be back again. You've gained two new customers. Highly recommend if passing through.

Headfort Arms

12/06/2026: We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. The staff is amazingly helpful. The ONLY reason we didn't stay longer was because they were fully booked. Food was some of best we had in Ireland. We will definitely stay here when we return to Kells.
10/06/2026: Had afternoon tea here for a friend's birthday. Staff brought out a desert with candles and sang happy birthday and also offered to take photos which was greatly appreciated Food was lovely and service was great, only negative was they did not offer fresh tea and coffee during our visit. The only parking available on the day was council parking which is not connected to the hotel and the exit out of car park to the front of the hotel had no footpath.
