The Carriage is the restaurant at the Station House Hotel in Clifden, but it is of course open to everyone, not just hotel guests. The cuisine is excellent and is a bit different from what you generally find in the area (where all the menus tend to look the same). The menu is very varied, the dishes are refined and prepared with local products, the desserts are homemade. Furthermore, the service is impeccable, the staff very friendly and attentive. For French people who speak poor English: Daren, the "deputy manager" speaks French fluently and is full of good advice on walks to take in the region. We dined there twice during our stay in Clifden, we tried several starters, main courses and desserts and recommend it with our eyes closed!
