I travel from Dubai to Roscommon at least twice a year and I take a detour by Trim to have Pascal’s smoked cod. Remind’s me of my childhood in Trim. My brother has come from New York and the first stop is the Castle Chipper.

So, the fish and chips here was pretty amazing. Just good, hole-in-the-wall greasy, fresh-battered cod and ample greasy chips. Yum. People there were friendly, but you have to pay extra for condiments, then we didn't actually get them, and they don't really do vinegar in Ireland (that's a British thing), but we didn't get tartar sauce either. Then I couldn't get their attention. Food was tasty, though.

14/10/2025: Friendly staff, quick service and enjoyable food. Parking outside.
05/09/2025: The food is always well made. Unfortunately the Kebap with the sauce and onions is not edible. The amount of sauce and lack of meat is just depressing. I felt like drowning. Considering it's fast food I actually like the kebab. I usually always oder without anything but forgot to write a note this time. You guys need to put less sauce in it I liked the onions and the sauce Kombination Just way too much sauce.
