05/07/2026: My friends and I visited Sally’s Riverside Bar & Cafe this weekend. It was our second time in Trim, but our first time at Sally’s, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the lasagna and the beef burger and both were outstanding. Honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. A huge compliment to the kitchen team and all the staff for providing such an amazing experience. We would definitely recommend Sally’s to anyone visiting Trim and we can’t wait to come back!

03/06/2026: Totally underwhelmed and disappointed by the quality of the food presented and the decor in this restaurant. My friend and I shared the nachos which were passable but the fajitas were presented on a non sizzling dish made up of mostly onions, a few scatterings of peppers and straggly pieces of chicken. The small dishes of salsa were definitely not fresh, the grated cheese had a powdered coating on it and the sour cream tasted more like a whipped sweet cream. On paying the bill for such an awful meal we weren’t asked if we had enjoyed our meal or anything before we left. This in my opinion is a restaurant I certainly won’t be visiting again.

30/06/2026: Lovely offee from here. You can sit in or take away for coffee and food to eat. Pastries, cakes and cafe food. Nice for a light brunch. Parking outside is paid parking along the street. Friendly, polite, happy staff.

30/06/2026: Good spot, range of sandwiches a bit limited but it was after 1pm. Service great , good atmosphere and great taste. Would recommend and certainly will return!

18/06/2026: Had our day 2 of wedding here recently. Shannon was great to deal with from the start. Room was perfect and nicely decorated. Food , staff and atmosphere all made for a great day.

17/07/2026: Lovely venue, interior decor is well done. Sectioned into different zones to break up the room. Although we had a booking we had to wait a bit for a table as they had a lot of walk ins at same time. Food was delicious and Franco was great fun and a good host. Would recommend it.

03/07/2026: Cute little café with a solid coffee and lunch menu. Had the double quarter pound burger and it was really good, perfectly toasted bun, lettuce and pickles crisp and fresh. The meat itself was a bit on the bland side, seasoning seems to be lighter here than what I’m used to, but it didn’t ruin the overall bite. Wait staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick. Good spot for lunch if you’re visiting Trim Castle.

21/06/2026: I recently visited Rosemary Bistro and had a generally pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, which created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The menu offers a good variety of options, ranging from seafood chowder to burgers, sandwiches, and salads, making it suitable for different tastes. While the service was slightly slower than expected, this was understandable given the size of our order. In terms of food quality, the experience was somewhat mixed. The seafood chowder was flavourful, although it lacked a wider variety of ingredients. The burgers, however, were on the dry side, and the panini was disappointing as it did not include any noticeable pesto despite being listed on the menu. Overall, the pricing was fair for what was offered. With some improvements in consistency and attention to detail in the dishes, this place has the potential to deliver a stronger dining experience.

20/05/2026: Pretty abysmal food. Overpriced. Never had a Chicken Puri that is chicken just covered on sweet chilli sauce. King prawn Balti was just tasteless with little flavour. As for the breads small and way too doughy. I wouldn't recommend this place

11/06/2026: I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent visit my friend and I made to Montos, as our experience was disappointing from the moment we were seated. Upon arrival, we did not receive a warm greeting, and the service throughout felt unprofessional. The waitress appeared disengaged, and although she took our orders carefully, she returned multiple times to confirm items that had already been written down. We proceeded to order starters, including garlic-stuffed mushrooms. When I cut into one of the mushrooms, an unpleasant-looking substance was released, and it had a very strong, off-putting smell. After trying a small amount, I felt unwell and had to go to the bathroom. The dish tasted as though it may have been reheated from frozen and was not enjoyable. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna. Unfortunately, the texture and consistency were very unappetising and did not resemble a traditional lasagna. At that point, I informed a member of staff that I was unhappy with the food. I mentioned that I did not wish to pay for the uneaten dishes but would still pay for the items I had consumed (chips and a soft drink). Following this, the interaction with management was not handled in a constructive manner. I felt my concerns were dismissed, and I was questioned in a way that made me uncomfortable. When paying, I reiterated that the overall experience had not been satisfactory. Shortly after leaving, we were approached outside the restaurant by the chef, who expressed strong dissatisfaction with our feedback. The interaction felt confrontational and left us feeling uncomfortable and unsettled. Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, both in terms of food quality and customer service. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit it is intended, as I believe there are areas that would benefit from review and improvement.

12/07/2026: The food was really good, by far the best place I have eaten at in Ireland. Service was imaculate too and the food we ordered came really fast. Overall a delightful experience.
