The Church Bar & Restaurant in Dublin

A former church converted into a nice restaurant/bar in the center of town. Great relaxed but lively atmosphere. In the middle of the week, music and Irish step dancers played. Everything is perfectly integrated and unobtrusive, so you can have a pleasant conversation the whole time. The food is exquisite and huge portions, with acceptable (Irish) prices. Worth a visit.

Location.. wonderful! It is the added value of the place. Deconsecrated church, used as a restaurant. Not too varied menu, the food didn't convince me too much (the fish had very little flavour). The service is precise, the staff very kind. Prices a little high.

The mussels were covered in an extremely salty sauce, the prawns were done in some cheap chili sauce, tasted like they were covered in a sauce out of a bottle, the wings were super dry, they were only saved slightly by the sauce they were in. I don’t recommend coming here for food. However the live music, the dancing and the interior design are worth checking out. I’d recommend coming in for drinks only.

Without a doubt a place that you should visit if you are going to have a drink in Dublin. Very well attended and with a good atmosphere. The picturesque thing about having a drink in a church that is now a fashionable place without losing its Irish roots.

Best to make a reservation - even for a late lunch. Phenomenal setting. Quality food in a restaurant that balances formality and casualness in a perfect way. Had the roast beef sandwich for lunch with a glass of Merlot.

We had a nice afternoon at Church. We sat outside and had appetizers and cocktails. A good place centrally located to stop for a drink while shopping.
