Outstandingly good. Wonderful food, amazing staff and food.

Stayed two nights, ate at the pub one night and restaurant one night. Food was exceptional. Room was nice, cozy, well decorated, great shower.

Came for my son’s 7th birthday. Called ahead to ask if bringing our own cake was ok, and if we could bring our dog - not a problem at all! The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel at home. The food was incredible. Even my 7 year old was impressed by what he called a “five star dinner!”

Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. Gorgeous, cosy setting and spot-on service.

The food is fab, both restaurant and bar are cosy and the food is interesting and absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect venue for a celebratory dinner or just a quick main and a glass of wine at the end of a busy week. Highly recommended! Worth a drive to for those not living locally. Or check out the lovely rooms for over night deal. Local patron.

The chicken wings are overpriced but the food is good.

We loved everything about this place. Cosy snug room, exceptional service, friendly staff, fantastic wine list and the food was amazing.

Went here for lunch three adults two teens. Food was great, pork belly, roasted aubergine and roast cod , flavour great, portion size good. Surroundings in restaurant were pleasant and bright. We were brought to our table which was not level and moving, we were informed it was not the legs but the table top. Offered another table but that was near bar area, so stuck with what we got. It amazes me how many places suffer with this and how irritating it is for diners, if you know about it, fix it. I would say service was mixed, seemed to be a more senior person who took our order, she didn't wear the usual uniform of the other staff and had a very cold demeanour, rest of staff were lovely. Chairs were not overly comfortable and one was on its way to breaking, a heavier person and you have problems, so we pointed it out as we were leaving, the manager promised to "put his best man on it"! Finally, a mandatory 12.5% service fee/gratuity is frankly awful and it applies to all tables. Allow the customer to decide that, not on at all. It's a pity, as the food is great, orange and almond cake for dessert was out of this world, but dining out is about the whole experience.

Hadn't been here for a few years. Food was excellent.Staff friendly and accommodating. No problem catering for special dietary requirements. We will return
