The Dew Drop in Galway

Great music. Drink was expensive.

We were so well welcomed. Dave and Philip were the cherry on top of our awesome trip to Galway. They both went out of their way to make us feel part of the fun. Would highly recommend this spot for a pint, a whiskey or a good chat. I'll be back!

Our visit to the Dew Drop absolutely made our whole trip. Dave was amazing and so welcoming. The Guinness is the best we had in Galway and the atmosphere was even better. I cannot urge anyone enough to come here. Slainte!

Such a cute cozy pub right in the centre of the city. Many different seating areas both indoor and outdoor with a great atmosphere.

Filled with abundant refreshing and reminiscent posters and collections, morning or night....had a great pint of Guinness ( more than one😉), a wonderfull conversation and a history lesson the staff are the best!!!

We stopped at the Dew Drop Inn for beverages after an afternoon of sightseeing and shopping in Galway. We had so much fun there, sitting outside and watching all the people. After this we left to meet up with the rest of our group. In our rush to get a cab I left behind a bag of small gifts I purchased for loved ones at home in the states. Later on I realized I didn’t have my bag so we went back to the Dew Drop Inn to see if the bag was there. The owner, Dave, remembers us and searched everywhere to see if the bag had been turned in. I told him not to worry about it because it was such a small thing that could be easily replaced. Dave insisted on going through his security reels to see if he could spot the bag and what happened to the bag after we left. He felt so bad for me. He gave me a Dew Drop T-shirt and asked us to have a seat in the pub while he searched his security files. There was live Irish music playing so we happily stayed and enjoyed the music along with a couple of pints. Sadly there was no sign of my purchases. It turned out that the next morning when Dave was going Open the pub spotted a bag across the street from the pub. Dave went over and took a look at the bag and sure enough it was the one that I had left behind still containing all my gifts! Members of our group went to the Drew Drop Inn for lunch that day because we had such a good time the day before. Dave recognized them and told our friends he had my bag! I was so touched with Dave and his kindness extended to us! The bag was really inconsequential and didn’t deserve the effort that Dave put forth retrieving it. The Dew Drop Inn is a fun, delicious, entertaining and friendly restaurant and pub!! Dave and his team are honest people that want to make sure their customers are well taken care of! If you are in Galway you must stop by the Dew Drop Inn for good food, cold beverages, live music and best of all good people!
