We went for lunch for 8 people before a game in the Aviva. Service was very poor, no consistency with waiting staff. We were served by a different waiter every time. Very slow to get drinks and food. It took over an hour for the kids to be served their food. Food was average but overpriced. Tempura prawn starter had 2 prawns for €22. Kids meal €18 for 2 courses!! We were the only table in the restaurant so I’m not sure why service and food was so slow. The hotel is beautiful. The setting is lovely. If service was better this could be a great place to dine.

The Eddison Restaurant was the perfect way to start each morning during our stay at the Dylan Hotel. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and their thoughtful care added a personal touch to every breakfast. The food? Absolutely delicious. Each morning brought a beautifully prepared spread that was both satisfying and refined. Fresh croissants (the chocolate ones were a favorite), vibrant fruits, and rich, aromatic coffee set the tone for the day ahead. The ambiance was bright and relaxed, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Whether you're a guest at the Dylan or simply seeking a top-notch breakfast in Dublin, The Eddison delivers a memorable experience with style and heart.

Leo Burdock

02/04/2026: Had cod and chips. Fish was nice , crunchy batter , fish cooked . Chips weren't to my taste bit limp, I like them a bit crispier but that's personal choice. Mushy peas were very runny. Nice touch with the tartare sauce. But on the expensive side at £22 but its in a tourist area.
31/03/2026: I can't understand the negative reviews. I've eaten fish and chips in London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Scotland, and Leo Burdock's is perfect. It's probably a bit more expensive due to its popularity, but what's cheap in the Temple Bar entertainment district? If I can pay €11 for a Guinness, I can certainly pay €18 for good fish and chips. That's just my personal opinion.
