27/06/2025: This was my first time staying at The Bosun Hotel, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. The hotel is very well located, offering a lovely view, and it’s beautifully decorated with a clear emphasis on cleanliness. You can tell the team puts a lot of effort and energy into maintaining high standards, with great attention to detail throughout.
One of my initial concerns was the fact that the hotel is right next to a bar and restaurant, both part of the same property. I was unsure whether this might affect the peace and quiet of the accommodation. The entrance to the hotel is completely independent, and there was no noise disturbance at all during my stay. In fact, the bar was quite busy on a Thursday afternoon, which seemed like a good sign of the quality and popularity of the place.
The room itself was immaculate, spotless and well-equipped with everything you might need, including a coffee set. The decor is tasteful and elegant, and every corner of the place reflects care and pride in presentation.
Do note that the hotel has four stories, with a lift reaching only up to the third floor, you’ll need to take stairs to access the top floor. Also, you may need to check in by speaking to a staff member in the bar if no one is at the accommodation entrance when you arrive.
Breakfast was excellent, served at a convenient time with friendly and attentive service. The staff appeared genuinely motivated and happy in their roles, which is refreshing to see in the hospitality industry.
If you’re planning to explore the surrounding area or visit the busier parts of town, it’s a good idea to have your own transport, though there seem to be buses running frequently nearby.
All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended!
