Wandered into this gorgeous restaurant Tuesday this week. Before I even speak about the delicious food, I want to mention the service and the people. They were so attentive and professional, warm and kind. People make a place for me. Attention to detail has been lost in a lot of restaurants, but not this place! Everything on the menu was so appealing but we both ended up going for one of the specials of the day, the sirloin. The tastes, the sauces, the love put into the food was second to none! We had a pinot grigio and Argentinan Malbec to accompany them. My malbec was full bodied and bold, it went perfectly with my meat. We then had espresso martinis instead of desserts- again delicious! It was my mums first espresso martini and it didnt disappoint. My mother mentioned we were out celebrating and they brought down a complimentary dessert with Congratulations written on it- so kind and lovely. We were very impressed and will be back aome day

I'm carnivore, so only eat meat, ordered steak without the sides obviously, still got charged for them though and nothing extra on the plate, won't visit again

Absolutely incredible, we stumbled in on a whim and were blown away by the food, we had black pudding starter, prawn wonton and the smoked mackerel rillette set a high bar, but the main course blew us away! Fabulous porter steak for main and crispy sticky pork belly. Desserts just as good, such was the staff and wine and cocktails. If we lived in Athlone we would be the size of a house eating here every day

One of the best meals I have had in Ireland or, indeed, in Europe.
2 friends from Canada and ourselves:
Starters: Scallops x2 and the most amazing wild mackerel rillette x2
Main course: Superbly cooked fresh cod x2, ossobucco x1 and polenta dish x1.
Couldn't be faulted.

Fantastic food. We forgot to take pictures but we had the scallop special and the buratta to start. For mains we had the beef salad and the cod. They were delicious. My favourite was the beef salad.

Next level food. Amazing flavour, quality, service and atmosphere. An absolute feast for the tastebuds and the eyes, its truly worth every single dime spent. Something out of the box, not your ‘same old’ menu options, for sure. Highly recommended - especially for special occasions. Love it!

Fabulous place to eat. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys fine dining. Food was absolutely divine and there was such a homely feel to the place. The staff were wonderful, our waitress Ale was so lovely and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will be back again.

The food is fine but really overpriced. We had steak and fish both of which were tasty and properly cooked. The restaurant was cold though and not much atmosphere as it wasn’t very full. I think a pub would have been a better choice.
