A slightly secluded but wonderful pub. Not too touristy, well-decorated, on two floors. The lighting isn't too dim, and the Irish beer, as everywhere else, is excellent. Outdoor seating is also available.

First, I have never stayed here, so I cannot comment on the rooms. Myself and a colleague ended up on site here on Holy Thursday of 2024. The rest, as they say, is History. We have been coming back here for post work drinks of a Friday on occasion. The pub itself is a gem, and is always spotless clean, and this is especially true when you consider it is normally jam packed. The service and drinks are what you come to expect nowadays in Dublin City. I was on site again tonight with a couple of friends, and the place was packed to the rafters. The above did not affect me or my friends too much, as we occupied the downstairs bar, which I felt was rather snug and cosy. It was my first time in the downstairs bar tonight. I also tried a red ale for the first time while on site tonight. Most certainly, I shall return. PS: I mentioned at the start that I have never stayed here on site. Nevertheless, I can confirm that this location is very close to both The 3Arena and The Board Gáis Theatre, so hopefully that might entice potential travellers to place a booking.

A great pub in Dublin! I visit Dublin every now and then and always try to stop by for at least one pint. The area is much less crowded than around Temple Bar, but the pub offers great beers, good music, and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s also very well designed and nicely furnished, which adds to the overall experience.

Right next to my hotel, so a spontaneous evening visit was no problem. It was also nice to be around locals and enjoy the local beer. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it.

As we had an event at 3Arena, the position was perfect. Pub downstairs and rooms upstairs. Room was clean and had everything needed for a night in Dublin.

Castle Vaults

10/02/2026: The best hotel I've stayed in so far: the very central location, the cleanliness of the facilities, the lovely staff (a huge thank you especially to Johaquim, Damien, and Marquis), the incredible and very varied breakfast—in short, I recommend this hotel without hesitation! Another positive point is the services offered at reception: selling adapters for people coming from other countries, excursions in partnership with the provider Wild Rover, allowing tourists to discover the most hidden corners of Ireland.
07/02/2026: I stayed 2 nights. The location is very good and the reception staff are fantastic and the room is clean and tidy. However, I probably stayed in the worst room in the hotel where you can hear the street noise as if you were outside and as soon as they start cooking breakfast you can smell all the cooking. At least on Saturdays, 40 minutes before breakfast closes, the staff start tidying up and there is no food left, justifying that it has run out.
