Great place to go before or after spending some time on the Long Strand or doing the loop walk up to the High Cross. Lovely food, good service, busy popular spot! Great initiative by the owner to leave out buckets and pickers for people to pick rubbish from the beach and then rewards them with hot chocolates or coffees..

My wife and I happened upon this place earlier this year while on a trip around West Cork. It was February and lots of locals were stopping there for lunch. It was the best fish and chips I have ever had (and I've had a few!). Top quality, so fresh, and perfectly cooked. We took away some sausage rolls as well and these were also delicious and of the same high quality. Hats off to all involved with this business!

Big fan of the fish basket. Whether we're popping in for a take away coffee or a sit down meal it's always been excellent. Never have had a bad experience. Coffee is great. They use WCC coffee beans which is always a positive. Recently sat inside here for fish and chips and it was really good. Definitely recommend!

Nice busy seaside fish restaurant- exactly what you would expect. We ordered take-away, fish and chips and half and half fish and scampi and chips - $€35.00 It was torture driving home to Cork with the smell in the car and not being allowed to eat it. But no sooner home, into the air fryer for a couple minutes, and down the hatch... delicious. And the 5th 🌟- it just hit the spot.

The Fish Basket is an absolute gem. You simply cannot beat the location, right alongside the beach. The food is absolutely delicious, and it is high-quality and all locally sourced. On top of that, the staff are fabulous —so friendly and efficient, which makes the whole experience perfect. A mandatory stop if you're in West Cork for a very tasty seaside meal!

Brilliant selection of food. Scampi and Haddock combo meal was such a great idea! Big portion and very reasonable. Incredible scenery nearby too.

The fish and chips was one of the best I have tried anywhere. The side salad was great. It was the perfect lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and friendly.
