The Fish Basket in Castlefreke

We come back here loads and it is so good, The lasagna is nice but the fish and chips…. SO GOOD I could eat them an entire day except I would get to full! The staff are all so nice and helpful and the views are great! I would highly recommend coming and getting the delicious fish and chips!

Some places really make the most of their location. The Fish Basket is one of them. Situated on Long Strand, it's the perfect spot to refuel after a bit of exercise on the rugged Atlantic coast. Seats inside are limited, so our large group sat outside. The fish and chips were excellent, and the view while eating was equally impressive. Definitely worth a visit.

What a treat after a great back/cliff walk. Loved the Fish and Chips. Great decor, atmosphere and lively staff.

A very nice place, everything is well organized. There's a queue when you arrive if you want to eat inside, like we did in the middle of December. You can tell the staff are experienced; everything is well done, and the food is really very good.

Great spot, really excellent food, and the whole team there work so hard to produce quality dishes and good coffee. At peak times this place has a queue out the door, we arrived at peak time today and waited for a table for nearly 40mins, but the staff were really great and did a great job of managing our expectations for the wait time...plus there is a beach to mess around on right in front of the place, and tables outside for the hardy (if its winter)...they also are much faster with takeaway too. The wait was worth it, good portions of delicious fish, crab, chips, and salad. We got coffee to go which was nice, and took away some lovely desserts as well. Lovely people and good food keeps us coming back . Thank you, Fish Basket Crew!

Lovel place, great food, friendly staff and stunning location. We have eaten here and installed our stretch tents a number of times.
