The Gables in Dublin

Food was very good overall. Service was a little slow and it wasn't overly busy (we had to reserve at 1015am) despite being 90% empty at the time of arrival. Reason for 3/5 on service - one of our party had ordered fries on the side, they were forgotten until we had all finished (despite us reminding server). - out of some juices in the morning - a little abrupt with taking orders and then not knowing who ordered what on arrival. Value pretty decent for 4 of us and the food was good.

- Nice atmosphere and great bar. - I explicitly (and multiple times) asked for pasta “al dente”, I was served with the most overcooked linguine ever. Seriously, tasted as a broth. Not a cheap restaurant, they should take these sort of requests more seriously (unless the pasta is precooked, which would be even worse). - Friendly staff

Well worth a visit. Lovely lunch and dinner menu....and competitively priced. Service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and cosy. We had lunch. Toasted sandwiches and quality coffee's. There is a nice outside area too for sunnier days.

Great food, specialist in sea food options, but other options also, great service

1st time to visit, won't be the last Went for a late lunch. Our visit started with a great welcome at the door they had seats available, so no wait. Our waitress was so nice and friendly. Food came relatively quickly and was as described on the menu, plus it was really, really good quality and tasted great. Great venue will be back.

We have been here on a few occasions, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Only negative was the staff did not ask was everything OK and found it difficult to catch their attention for extra drinks. We both had mussels, cheeseboard and Deserets and could not fault the food. Would highly recommend and will return.

If I could give six stars I would. The staff make this place very special but the food is equally as good. Nicest fillet steak ever. Thank you Bronagh, Michael, Jill and team … looking forward to our next visit 👏🏻👏🏻
