Great hotel! Rooms were clean and seemed to have been updated recently. The breakfast was amazing and really well presented (see photos). Location was an easy 5 minute walk to restaurants and bars / center of town. Would stay here again.

Staff at the Gateway was wonderful and friendly, and breakfast was excellent. Our room was good, with a nice comfy bed, but it was warm. We had to open the window, and in doing so were woken up by the lads coming home around 2am. We also heard a couple getting freaky in the next room, so not the quietest sleep. Overall, a very decent stay!

16/12/2025: Stumbled on this place and and found it to be a great pub with live music. Amazing atmosphere. Service was fantastic.
07/12/2025: This place is fantastic!!!! So much life in the place. Bar staff stupendous. This dude Patrick saved my Canadian bum and said just get a hotel. Bless him, thank you!!!! There’s a bouncer here named Chris (saved me from this super old man with crazy eyebrows, super super appreciate it) who was an absolute genuine, huge hearted , fabulous man!!! Just a really really really tremendous human. How blessed i was to met such good hearted people. & the music out of this world!!!
