The Great Wood in Dublin

Had such a fantastic time at The Great Wood in Blanchardstown! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything from the food to the drinks was top-notch. A special shoutout to Aoife, the bartender, who truly made our visit unforgettable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knew exactly how to make the perfect drink. Her great energy and professionalism really stood out and added so much to the overall experience. Can’t recommend this place enough—already looking forward to coming back!

Wow- just absolutely wow service from the handsome asian man, I believe his name was Dane. His attentive to both his coworkers and customers made the whole experience a whole 11/10! Would highly recommend visiting here! I will surely be back here- might just start making the place a weekly visit 😉

A decent Weatherspoons pub. Breakfast reliably consistent, served quickly - hot & around €8 with coffee. Update. I got up to get some sauces, spilt my food on the floor. The kind staff cleared it up and replaced it free. How wonderful.

I recently visited The Great Wood by J D Wetherspoon and had a really pleasant experience. The place has a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and great value for money. Food and drinks were served quickly, and everything was fresh and satisfying. It’s a convenient spot to relax with friends or grab a casual meal in the city. I’d definitely visit again!

On 02/02/26 at around 1pm I went with my family with toddler kids . Couldn’t order pizza as pizza machine is broken. We chose kids meal from kids menu , which was served with fruit and juice . The price was including both . the attendant girl said fruit is not available , so my husband asked anything else available instead of fruit she said no , and they won’t reduce the price . We asked if they can add something else instead of the fruit . She was so rude repeatedly kept saying it’s out of stock not available.its not my fault .and then she said to my husband she won’t serve him . My husband asked for the manager . Manager Ollie was nice but the girl , she was short ,short haired with glasses I asked the name but the manager refused to say otherwise I will mention her name . She was that rude . And in few minutes they got the fruit , so they had it . It’s that she dint know she just argued ,Which lowered the standard of weather spoon.

Ordered 5 wings @€14 waited 25 minutes while othets ordered and got food after me. Disabled toilet having a refit, can't do stairs so had to go to other establishment to go. Glasses dirty. Didn't enjoy.
