The Green Bar in Borrisokane

We came across this little gem when heading back to Meath from Killarney and what a find it was. 3 of us had the soup to start, absolutely gorgeous funeral soup and homemade brown bread. 1 had the bacon and cabbage and said it was gorgeous. 2 lads had the chicken burger and borris burger and both gave top marks, and 2 of us had the Hereford beef and Jesus christ it was the nicest I've ever eaten. The gravy was to die for. I'm just raging we live so far away, definitely worth every penny!

Have eaten here twice recently, had the pizza and the next time the beef. Both were excellent but the beef was lovely tender and melt in your mouth. The Guinness was on point also. Highly recommend you try it out.

The atmosphere at the green 1918 was good. But the food was only average and the customer service was also average. It's costly when compared with the taste & quantity of the food. It's easily accessible and there is a car parking area in front.

Been to the restaurant many times and I have to say the new menu is great, the Falafel burger was super tasty. Everyone I was with loved their food. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. It’ll always be one of my favourites to visit.

My first time here. What a wonderful place. The restaurant is bright and cheery. Clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic. We had wrap, ceasar salad, and club sandwich. The pavlova was delicious. I have already recommended to multiple people. There is lovely outdoor seating available.

This was a wonderful place that had terrific food, a wonderful environment, and phenomenal wait staff. If we visit Ireland again this is a must visit!

Lovely clean establishment food menu nicely priced.....I had the black pudding stack and a side of relish (10.50) and my friend had a mini breakfast (9.50).....my friend does not eat black pudding or bacon so she left them out and got mushrooms instead.... very tasty indeed went to pay and my friend paid 11.50 and I paid 11.50 so I was charged a euro for relish and she was charged 2 euro for mushrooms. .....we questioned this and the chef at the green bar has them told to charge .....this is just not good enough...and leaves people not wanting to go back
