We ended up at The Horses and Hounds in Delgany due to all the filming happening in the area, which made it hard to find a room elsewhere. I'm so glad we stayed here! It turned out to be a charming, family friendly spot filled with character and warmth... From the moment we checked in, Elena was incredibly welcoming, setting a positive tone for our visit. Ben at the bar was fantastic, providing friendly service that made our evenings enjoyable.
The location is great, right next to a lively Irish pub that adds a fun atmosphere with its music. While it can be a bit lively for some, I found it added to the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal showcasing local flavours... Despite a couple of minor issues, the overall experience far outweighed them. This is truly a 5/5 place, and we will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable!

It was my first time eating in the Horse and Hound, and I was astounded by my experience there. The food, service and overall experience was excellent. Plus it was a nice benefit being able to move to sit in the bar afterwards for some drinks.

We had Mark look after us and the rest of the staff and I could not be more impressed. They were kind, professional, attentive and the food we had in the restaurant was top class. The portions were excellent and the Guinness was poured to perfection. Please stay here if you want a great stay, excellent service and well priced accommodation and food.

Fifty stars! The room we booked is great, the food we ate was great (sadly I forgot to take a photo), the Guinness was great, the vibe in the pub is great but that’s not the best part… the people who work here are what makes this place so good. Alan, Annika and Sam in the pub took such good care of us, were so friendly and helpful (Alan even paid our M50 toll when our credit card wouldn’t go through!), just marvellous! My wife and I have toured around Ireland a number of times, this is by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed, I don’t know how I found it, we’re just passing through from the Rosslare ferry to Belfast, but I am so happy we did. If you can stay, eat, or drink here, do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Great location if you're looking to go hiking.
We received great service here (maybe because we were Canadian?) and I wish we had stayed here for more than one night.
The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable.
Thank you for treating us so well and I hope I can return again soon.

A lovely little local pub. Nice staff and very good food. Just a few things let them down. We spilled our full pint by mistake (was only our second pint, far from drunk) and they didn't offer to replenish it. It was 100 percent our fault and I know they're not expected to, but would have been a nice gesture. Definitely been offered to us in other pubs.
Also one day when we tried to visit, the rugby was on and the locals had literally blocked the front entrance to get into the pub. It was so intimidating walking in we had to go around to the back. Not welcoming at all. But if that's they're vibe that's fine.
Lovely staff and nice food though. Kid friendly

Just a lovely place and fantastic food. Set my lovely young lady who let us take some starters from the downstairs menu into the bar.
