Lovely place and nice atmosphere. Was looking forward to the food until I heard the chef abusing the staff in the back, ruined the atmosphere for what ended up being very bland food. Disappointed.
A note to the chef. Take the chip off your shoulder, and if a curry is too hard maybe try sticking to what your capable of. Like a pot noodle.
We had a table of 12 6 adults and 6 kids, food came out in good time, kids meals with our starters which is good for families. All the food was very nice, maybe a bit too much gravey on some but that might be personal preference. Would definitely come back again.
Disappointed with my food, ordered the Fish and Chips and it was very average. Good service but the food and drinks, coke and water came to over €40 . When paying we weren’t asked how our food was, I would have given my honest opinion but it seemed to me that the lady just wanted me to pay, we left and will probably not bother going back which is a shame as I’ve heard a lot of good reports about the Milltown Inn.
I was there in a Saturday evening, celebrating my friend s bday, it was great time, we had “strogonoff “ with rice and chips 😋😋 so taste!! I would come back ;)
11/11/2024: I found our meal very tasty. I had Turkey and ham with all the trimmings. I asked for extra stuffing as I love stuffing. The meal was delicious. My husband had roast beef. He said that his meal was very tasty also. The staff were lovely, courteous and helpful. I had pavlova for dessert. It was absolutely delicious. I would rate this restaurant a 10/101
07/07/2024: I've always loved the Inn at Milltown, but recently I've heard that it's gone downhill, not so! The food was delicious, and plenty of it, the staff are very friendly courteous and helpful. I am so glad that the standard hasn't dropped, it's a fabulous restaurant/bar with lovely food, brilliant staff and fantastic outside area for the kids.
