Came to this hotels cause a lady canceled her AIRBNB because of “sudden renovations”. Well then!
This restaurant is really fine. Especially for Restaurants in hotels, this one i will remember. The menu is great, there’s a lot to choose. The atmosphere is even a little luxury. I would suggest the Fagottino Chicken (see picture). Goes well with the Riesling. Nice options for side dishes. Had the melanzane as a starter. Was fine but needed a little bit more taste, i gave it some salt pepper and olive oil, and fine!
Above all it’s fast. Everything is served within minutes. That’s impressive, for seeing how good it tastes.
When you stay at the Clayton airport at Dublin hotel you don’t really have a choice but to eat here. We had two pasta dishes each. Food was tasty and reasonably priced but bowls not full. They were only warm and had too much liquid/ water not sauce.
The food is just average. I've been in Ireland for 10 days and decided to stay close to the airport on my final day. The hotel receptionist during check-in asked if I wanted a reservation at the Italian restaurant. I thought it had to be good. I am disappointed this will be my last meal in Ireland. I should have taken a taxi back in to the Temple Bar area. Ive had several amazing meals in that area. I can't believe a fancy place like The Italian Kitchen could not compare to any of those smaller restaurants.
The Bruschetta was bland. The truffle dinner was bland.
We arrived from the Dublin airport and took a brief nap and shower before coming to the Italian Kitchen at 7PM. Very promptly seated, nice atmosphere, they have a wood burning pizza oven so my husband ordered the pepperoni pizza. I ordered the poached salmon with pesto sauce with broccolini and potatoes (very delicious).
I decided to give the place a shot even after reading the crazy reviews. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Within 5 minutes of me ordering my dinner there came the plate. Mmnn!! The pasta was too aldente, the chicken had a raw taste to eat.. The sauce was ok. This was my least favorite meal here in Ireland. Mind you, I've been to many Italian restaurants. This one am not sure about..
