The La-La Restaurant and Cafe in Balbriggan

Small, intimate dining venue with gorgeous food.

I usually love the Lala Café, so, the other day we went there for breakfast and ordered a full Irish breakfast. It was a rather a full disappointment: first of all, it wasn't full: a quarter of a tomatoe - not even a full one, then, advertised was a portobello mushroom, which it wasn't. What came was a teaspoon full of puny little mushrooms, which wasn't portobello at all; the sausages were half cooked and barely brown, and you got only half a black and half a white pudding, which in the end was a blessing, because they were disgusting. The best on the plate was the egg and the rashers. Still, for all that "joy", we had to fork out nearly 14€ + additionally the price for our coffee. We had a guest with us from New Zealand, and I couldn't have been more embarrassed. At home, we could have made a really good full Irish breakfast to showcase the good food we have here in Ireland. Well, I know now where not to go for breakfast. Sorry, I couldn't give you a better report.

We booked The La-La Café for our wedding Day 2, and booked a barbeque for 50 friends and family. We were all well fed, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere in the garden/ patio on a beautiful August day was better than we could have hoped for. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and they arranged an impromptu song performance for us with a group attending a song-writing retreat, which made our experience so personal and memorable, and we were truly blown away by the gesture. They also made a beautiful video for Instagram of our day, and made us feel like royalty. I'm so glad that we booked here as part of our wedding weekend!

We had this week dinner with my family and i want to give a special compliment to the fish dish with cream sauce, it was incredibly tasty and creamy, all the starters and main courses were on time, perfect temperature and very tasty, the service was absolutely wonderful. We were there a little earlier and the experience was very bad, i want to tell you about this wonderful change. Well done, i recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant with brilliant attentive staff, Korean chicken bun was beautiful and so was the ham and cheese toastie, will definitely be coming back again.

I would like to say a big beautiful thank you to all the staff of the La La, we had a surprise babyshower/ afternoon tea of Saturday and it was fantastic. The room was the perfect setting and the privacy was amazing. Staff were so helpful and food was fabulous. Thank you so much for making it such a special day. Annmarie

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the whole of the building, garden and extras like the Lark & Bedford Hotel being so close. The food is amazing. We've had breakfast, lunch & dinner there plenty of times over the years & it's always delicious. The staff are fantastic. Amanda is an absolute gem, so friendly & welcoming! Try out one of the cocktails, defo worth it!
