Had breakfast here last week. When ordering I asked for my tea to be served with breakfast, it arrived about 10 mins beforehand so wasn't hot when I was drinking it. There was no cutlery on the table and when we asked the waitress for cutlery (after our breakfast had been served) she plonked down 4 sets of cutlery in a heap at the end of the table, with no napkins/serviettes, which we also had to ask for. Very disappointing experience as I was being brought out for breakfast as a birthday treat. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service is definitely not up to standard and something needs to be done about it fast. I have eaten here before for dinner months ago and (I have to say the food was delicious then also) was disappointed that the service has in no way improved since then which badly let's the La La down and is annoying when dinning out & trying to support a local business.

We had breakfast here on our first morning in Ireland and it was lovely! Food and environment could not have been more perfect. We even had a visit from a friendly robin who ate out of my hand. I felt like Snow White LOL.

Food is absolutely divine! The setting is stunning. Unfortunately the service leave a lot to be desired. All tiny things but frustrating. Had to ask for milk, cutlery and hot water. We either had no one check on us for 30 mins or 3 staff in 5 mins. Afternoon tea was on the table when we arrived, no idea how long it was sitting there. At €35 a head it was disappointing. I appreciate it was a busy day with walk ins but we booked well in advance. As a local I'm happy to give it another go in hopes service improves.

07/08/2024: A typical greasy spoon café, reasonably priced normal food Plenty of options on the menu with meal deals etc The girl serving was a bit clinical and asking people if you want a glass with your can (a multi pack can at that) Maybe some low background music as it's a small almost house/cottage so you can hear every word Literally 5 minutes from the train station Cheap and cheerful

04/07/2024: 1000 stars! Enjoyed a lovely meal at Bombay Bistro this evening. Everything fresh and accommodating of dietary requirements. Will be going back soon.
19/06/2024: We stumbled on this place on our first night in Ireland and we were tired and incredibly hungry. Balbriggan did not offer a lot of dinner options, so we decided to give this one a try. We are so glad we did! We started with a mixed bhaji appetizer and they also gave us a basket of papadam as well as a trio of little chutneys and sauces that were delicious on both. We decided to share an entree with rice and naan, so we asked for recommendations on the best lamb dish on the menu. And oh my gosh, we were so happy with his choice! We had lamb bhuma, A dish we had never had before and we both fell in love with it. The flavors were really rich and complex and the meat was absolutely tender and perfect. It came with really delicious basmati rice and we had the coriander naan which was to die for. The price was reasonable too. I would have posted photos, but we were so hungry that I just dove in and forgot LOL.
