The best restaurants in Balbriggan

19/04/2026: The food was actually really good, but I wasn’t happy with the behaviour of one of the waiters (the one with glasses). We went in the late afternoon and the restaurant was empty. We asked if we could move to a bigger table, but he refused, saying it was reserved. Later, when we were seated, we realised we were struggling to keep our jackets and belongings in place, so I asked if we could get an extra chair. The request was ignored, and he placed the glasses of water down quite abruptly rather than politely. The other staff were very nice, but there was clearly an issue with this particular waiter’s attitude. The restaurant was empty the entire time we were there, and even when we left, we were still the only customers eating, so it didn’t seem like there was any real reservation at that time. It felt like a small courtesy that would have easily improved our experience, especially given how minor the request was. Overall, quite disappointing. The food was excellent and I would still recommend it, but this experience with that particular waiter really brought the rating down for me.

12/04/2026: Overall, it was a lovely meal. The food was great and the price was very good. The staff were helpful and polite. It wasn't busy, and we didn't feel rushed at all.

12/09/2025: Get my morning coffee most mornings before the train! Coffee’s always good and made super quick perfectly timed to make my early morning train. The staff (Faye) is so friendly, always cheerful and welcoming which makes the whole vibe even nicer.

30/08/2025: Im only newish to the java hut as my partner lives up there and he goes there every day during work. The coffee is the nicest coffee creamy cappucino wit caramel syrup and the way the staff makes it wow is all I can say top tier coffee and the staff are so friendly and pleasant and quick too as sometimes there would be 3cars ahead of us but we werent ever waiting long I need 2buy it now for at home im no barista but I will attempt it with this coffee 10 outta 10 bonus then with the loyalty cards

15/12/2025: Happened to stop in on the way home and was very impressed. Great food at very reasonable prices, and the staff were very friendly.

05/12/2025: Best pizza in Balbriggan area by a country mile. It’s the only place that uses fresh ingredients, and the customer service and delivery is second to none.

14/11/2025: Frequent customer here, took my little sister here for her birthday today. We sat upstairs and waited for over 30 minutes while the waitress came upstairs 4 or 5 times and ignored us, not even acknowledging we were there. Another group came in and were immediately warmly greeted and served their food within 5 minutes. When we left the waitress said ‘bye’ in a passive aggressive manner with a straight face, the only time she even looked at us. Overall I’m so disappointed and disheartened by this hostile experience as mollys has been a family favorite for years.

26/05/2025: We came to the restaurant to have a meal. They offered us a table in what seemed to be their office — there were papers everywhere and the place was dirty. The sushi we were served was sticking to the plate, and apparently they had run out of chopsticks, so we had to eat with forks. Everything was falling apart and looked more like mush than sushi. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It will ruin your mood.

24/10/2025: Excellent coffee and the best value in Dun Laoghaire! Fabulous chocolates also, well worth a look.

06/04/2026: Cold doner kebab which was eaten 2mins after leaving the shop. Never again.
