The best restaurants in Balbriggan

16/10/2024: Easy to order online using the app and really fast service (usual ready for collection in 10 mins). The food is top quality, favourite is the Chicken Fillet Burger and Chips or Cod and Chips. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

05/08/2024: Tell me why I ordered an item labelled “southern fried wings” and then when it arrives it’s 1 grey lump of unidentifiable meat and bones, actually disgusting. Also, if you order salt and vinegar chips be prepared for a total of 5 chips to actually have vinegar on them. Also €3.80 for a single battered sausage?? Cop on. Seriously rancid establishment, just save your money

27/11/2024: Fantastic food- we have ordered Chinese takeout from here multiple times and each time it has been delivered fresh, hot, generous portions and delicious. Best Chinese takeaway option in Balbriggan!

19/11/2024: It is a very simple restaurant but with basic food options. Very well served quantity at a good price. It is not very cozy nor does it have many options. We ordered a large Irish breakfast for only 12 euros that could be shared between two people with a coffee or tea included.

25/11/2024: I would have been a fan before but recently the place is a disaster. The last few times I've been there its badly stocked and the wait time is very long. I asked for salad there was no dressing and my daughter wanted chicken tenders, there were none. Both these things were on the menu. I wouldn't have ordered the salad had I known but it was put in front of me before I was told. Then I asked for a take away soup but there was no take away cutlery. It came to €35 I felt hungry and robbed

29/11/2024: They layout is lovely and it's so cosy no matter where you sit. Me and my 12 year old son were going for dinner as a treat and it wasn't too busy which was perfect for both of us. He only gets the kids spaghetti bolognese, as he doesn't like the other options available due to issues with sensory while eating. I've mentioned my issues with the dietary options below, so I won't repeat it here too. I think until there are more options available on the menu for me as a coeliac, then I probably won't be back very often, even though I'm local.

18/11/2024: Disappointing , booked two weeks in advance, to celebrate my wife’s birthday only to arrive on the night to be told they were only doing a set menu as it was a show preview night , so no deserts and very little choice , this wasn’t mentioned in our booking and as we were not attending a show we had no idea this was happening, we got seated near the door and it was freezing and no heating on in the place, food wasn’t great and a large chunk of lettuce thrown in my plate was what they called vegetable, the service was miserable, I asked for Hieniken non alcohol beer and got peroni , poor start , the lady who served us didn’t smile once and gave the impression she’d rather be somewhere else, all in all very disappointing experience, not sure I’d bother going back, as we just felt unwelcome

07/08/2024: A typical greasy spoon café, reasonably priced normal food Plenty of options on the menu with meal deals etc The girl serving was a bit clinical and asking people if you want a glass with your can (a multi pack can at that) Maybe some low background music as it's a small almost house/cottage so you can hear every word Literally 5 minutes from the train station Cheap and cheerful

03/12/2024: Coffee is the best in the town. Service has gotten slow, especially in the mornings. Atmosphere is really nice, the staff are friendly and up for a laugh.

11/10/2024: Cozy coffee container with exquisite service. Here even the coffee to-go is decorated under the lid.

18/11/2024: I would describe the supermacs and papa johns in Balbriggan as average as there's a few things that there's room for improvement as the vouchers that supermacs and papa john send out each year some of the staff say that they don't accept them and one of the staff members that work there accept them and he's great to deal with and the service when the food is being cooked needs to be improved as they need more staff there and the staff need to be quicker when they're cooking the food and making the pizzas as well as last year I was an hour or more waiting for a plain chicken breast sandwich with bacon and they got the order wrong on 3 occasions on the same visit that I was in supermacs and the supermacs vouchers that customers have that are old should still be accepted as there's no expire date on them and the meals in supermacs are far too expensive to be paying the money for and the government needs to introduce the 9% vat rate like they did during the covid-19 pandemic as it would bring customers back to the fast food outlets and they can also still use the vouchers that supermacs do post out to people's houses

27/10/2024: This is my all time favourite Chinese take away place , this is my go to place for when I want a yummy Chinese. Service is good but I’d recommend and order for collection as the delivery does take longer. My go to order would be chicken balls chips and egg fried rice and it has never let me down. You get what you pay for and I love this take out restaurant. Me and my family always share out our portions and we always still get loads 10/10

01/11/2024: Stopped by here for a flat white . Absolutely loved the coffe the ambiance is also very cozy and the staff is courteous. They have cakes , chocolates and teas as well.
