11/12/2024: Nice place for a Coffee and pastry before heading down the beach in Balbriggan

03/12/2024: Coffee is the best in the town. Service has gotten slow, especially in the mornings. Atmosphere is really nice, the staff are friendly and up for a laugh.

23/02/2025: Food waste bad, reasonable price, service was good and it's an unusual setting inside a hardware store.

13/02/2025: We ordered 3 breakfasts. 1st breakfast we couldn't do any substitution without extra charge even though allergy to eggs even though on the menu it said substitution cannot happen at busy times... we were the 3rd seated group there? Sausages were awful quality and burnt and somehow cold. 2nd breakfast was vegetarian and was cold, pureed avocado was sour. 3rd breakfast was wrong order and when rectified it was also freezing cold even the hashbrowns. Mushrooms are fried i don't know why they were when steaming in the oven is much nicer. Only good thing was the coffee which also took forever. So much staff working but doing nothing. At least 6 chefs in the kitchen but things cold. Little to not table service but so much front of house staff doing nothing but talking to each other pr trying to look busy. Only thing I'd come back for would be a takeaway coffee and perhaps if I stayed at the till it would be made faster by the 6-7 staff hanging around at the tills.So much potential if food quality could be enhanced and staffing fixed

12/08/2024: This ice cream shop is a hidden gem! From the outside it may look small, but step inside and you'll find a surprisingly spacious interior with a fantastic selection of delicious ice creams, slushies and more. The prices are reasonable, and the place is impeccably clean. The two staff members who served us were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. There are tables across the road where you can sit and savor your treats or coffee. It's definitely worth a visit to try something unique and support a local business instead of the usual big chains.

28/01/2025: The restaurant & the food is absolutely delicious but they are let down by the service. Firstly they didn't have our reservation (the receptionist didn't pass this on) then when we eventually got a table (not busy, tables ready for breakfast at 8.30pm) the service was atrocious. None of the waitresses seemed to be bothered & they all looked miserable. They need a proper booking system & staff that smile/are friendly at customers.

15/03/2025: Visit in Lala Cafe is always a pleasure, but this time it was even better. Festive menu was gorgeous and live singer really make my wife birthday evening extraordinary. Cannot wait to come back.

24/02/2025: We have eaten here twice and the food, service, cocktails and general atmosphere are wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

11/03/2025: One of my favourite spots in Balbriggan for some brekkie/brunch! Recently had some renovations and changed the menu slightly but there is never an issue if I order something else or substitute menu items. Staff are super friendly too and they do one of the best pots of tea around

12/02/2025: The one star is just for the items I ordered below. Supermacs Balbriggan - just had a coffee and fries. Coffee was weak, no taste of coffee. The fries were luke warm. Myself and my son frequent Supermacs a lot and are normally very satisfied with what we order,👍 however, I never order plain fries or Americano &. Unless there is a big improvement I won't be ordering those two items again. Don't let this experience put you off Supermacs if you haven't already tried them. Their Taco fries and ice creams are delicious.👍 Also, toilets are always spotless👍

01/11/2024: Stopped by here for a flat white . Absolutely loved the coffe the ambiance is also very cozy and the staff is courteous. They have cakes , chocolates and teas as well.

03/03/2025: The staff are friendly, great quality restaurant like food, and priced fairly. I love this Chinese and it’s consistently good food they have never got my order wrong. Delivery is very good too.

18/12/2024: Coffee is hit and miss. Barrista's don't seem to be as competent as other places in the town. (I.e java and cabana) The coffee I got today was supposed to be a latte, but it was basically an americano with hot milk and zero foam. And more expensive than java and cabana. See the difference in the pic. UPDATE: I sense some passive aggressiveness in the response. For clarification, the picture I took was just after I had left, so it's not a random image slapped up there. I was buying a coffee there once or twice a week. It's not rocket science to make a decent foamy latte/cappuccino. The quality just isn't as good as other cafes. I'll come back again, if the quality is better I'll update my review.

25/02/2025: Got the taco fries on Sunday night. I could nearly count the chips! The box was half full. I really wanted the chilli beef rather than the chips but I found it difficult to find mince!!! As for the cheese? A shop bought cheese sauce was the majority of the cheese which softened the chips to bits. They used to be great!!!! But back away from buying them now!!!! What a rip off for such a large cost!!

19/10/2024: Brilliant place to go and chill. The staff were so good and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

25/02/2025: First time at this place , a disgrace when it comes to staff, one of the staff was playing games on their phone while making the coffees and both where fighting throughout making the order, coffees were cold and over poured with coffee leaking on the tray, they had seen that but did not bother to do anything about it.

20/01/2025: Very Helpful staff. Costa Coffee is still open, offering takeaway service during Covid-19 lockdowns.
