The best restaurants in Balbriggan

24/04/2025: We visited this cafe last week with our 3 grandaughters as they were on Easter hols and wanted to have a snack lunch. We saw on Google maps they were due to close at 3pm. We arrived 2.30 pm and asked would if be possible, did we have time for hot food. The young lady on the counter said yes , she could not have been nicer. She was so helpful and efficient, I would be proud if she was my daughter. The service was 10 out of 10. I hope the owners appreciate her . My husband had a toasted sandwich which was full and he said very tasty. My grandaughters has chicken tenders and said they were nice and juicy and not dry as they can sometimes be in other places. Chicken wings were good too. I had a full irish breakfast. Bacon was a bit dry but the rest was delicious. We were all very contented on departure and did not feel rushed in any way. Toilets were fresh too. Well done

14/03/2025: Lovely spot for some brekkie/lunch. Popped in with a friend recently for some lunch and e both couldn’t recommend enough. Food was lovely and fresh and the service was great considering there was only one waitress on and the place was packed. Will definitely be back for another visit

12/02/2025: The one star is just for the items I ordered below. Supermacs Balbriggan - just had a coffee and fries. Coffee was weak, no taste of coffee. The fries were luke warm. Myself and my son frequent Supermacs a lot and are normally very satisfied with what we order,👍 however, I never order plain fries or Americano &. Unless there is a big improvement I won't be ordering those two items again. Don't let this experience put you off Supermacs if you haven't already tried them. Their Taco fries and ice creams are delicious.👍 Also, toilets are always spotless👍

25/02/2025: Got the taco fries on Sunday night. I could nearly count the chips! The box was half full. I really wanted the chilli beef rather than the chips but I found it difficult to find mince!!! As for the cheese? A shop bought cheese sauce was the majority of the cheese which softened the chips to bits. They used to be great!!!! But back away from buying them now!!!! What a rip off for such a large cost!!

25/04/2025: Waitress, short blonde is gorgeous and it’s the only reason I visit. Food is decent.

04/05/2025: Unfortunately, the take away we were looking for was closed. As we passed and seen here open we decided to try it. What a mistake. Chips were half cooked and hard. Half of them were black! Burgers were ok. Would not go here again and would not advise anyone to go here either.

29/03/2025: Update Grabbed a coffee from the truck beside the community centre. Absolutely perfect 👏 See you again ‐---‐-------------------- Coffee is hit and miss. Barrista's don't seem to be as competent as other places in the town. (I.e java and cabana) The coffee I got today was supposed to be a latte, but it was basically an americano with hot milk and zero foam. And more expensive than java and cabana. See the difference in the pic. UPDATE: I sense some passive aggressiveness in the response. For clarification, the picture I took was just after I had left, so it's not a random image slapped up there. I was buying a coffee there once or twice a week. It's not rocket science to make a decent foamy latte/cappuccino. The quality just isn't as good as other cafes. I'll come back again, if the quality is better I'll update my review.

29/04/2025: I would like to say a big beautiful thank you to all the staff of the La La, we had a surprise babyshower/ afternoon tea of Saturday and it was fantastic. The room was the perfect setting and the privacy was amazing. Staff were so helpful and food was fabulous. Thank you so much for making it such a special day. Annmarie

28/04/2025: This place is absolutely gorgeous, the whole of the building, garden and extras like the Lark & Bedford Hotel being so close. The food is amazing. We've had breakfast, lunch & dinner there plenty of times over the years & it's always delicious. The staff are fantastic. Amanda is an absolute gem, so friendly & welcoming! Try out one of the cocktails, defo worth it!

12/05/2025: Coffee shop with a flair for handmade chocolates. Nice interior but no inside seating, so all coffees are takeaway although there is seating outside. They seem to be missing a trick as there could be a better selection of cakes and pastries, and coffee and pastries could be served on china at tables. The mocha was great. The Americanos were a bit weak. Cakes were lovely, but not many to choose from. Service was pleasant. I just feel they could up their game by adding table service.

16/04/2025: The coffee was perfect before but now isn't half of what it used to be. The staff should pay more attention to the outside area of the cafe! It's dirty, tables and chairs are dirty and there's no trash bin. The cups are all over the place which is a shame. The prices are ok but sweets (they're delicious) could be slightly cheaper. And the location is absolute top notch. Then there's new staff each time.

03/03/2025: The staff are friendly, great quality restaurant like food, and priced fairly. I love this Chinese and it’s consistently good food they have never got my order wrong. Delivery is very good too.

10/02/2025: Absolutely disgusting they should be ashamed hair in food and they refused to refund us in full and claimed we had put the hair there chicken is salty af gives u heartburn and is not tasty customer service horrible insulting us in Chinese not knowing i know how to speak it absolutely disgusting do not recommend dont waste ur time eating here or should i say HAIR

25/02/2025: First time at this place , a disgrace when it comes to staff, one of the staff was playing games on their phone while making the coffees and both where fighting throughout making the order, coffees were cold and over poured with coffee leaking on the tray, they had seen that but did not bother to do anything about it.
