The Lane Cafe in Galway

My favorite Café in Galway! Very cosy, everyone is so nice and welcoming here, the coffee tastes so good and food is wonderful! Would definitely recommend :)

The place is a very nice and cozy café hidden in one of Galway’s streets. The dark hot chocolate though, didn’t meet our expectations. The description on the menu was far from reality. It would be better to be informed beforehand, while ordering, that the drink would be missing the toppings that are listed in the menu. Also the chocolate itself tasted like cheap chocolate milk. It was not worth the money, even though the server gave us a little discount because they were out of marshmallows, which we did not now until we got the drinks. Also toilets did not work and people who came later got coffee sooner than us.

This is a well run, well sourced cafe. Food is individually prepared, tastes lovely & service is friendly & pro active. The quality of the food & coffee outshines the big brands. Try it!

The best café in Galway with the nicest customer base, staff and food. I've been coming here regularly for the last year or so and I'd have to say it's amazing. The staff are some of the nicest people you can imagine as well as the customers who are usually there. Food is also great from pizza to soup and sandwiches to lasagna. Everything here is also halal besides marshmallows.

Cute café, with seating on the lane, in the rear garden and indoors, upstairs & downstairs. Friendly staff and tasty menu. Unfortunately, they only serve sweet stuff after a certain time of the day. Fantastic location, in the heart of old Galway, on a winding lane, steps away from the ruins of "The Hall of The Red Earl" (medieval dining hall).

I popped in on a cold day and ordered a Lemon & Coconut muffin, and it arrived to my table warm, deliciously moist and tasty. Good coffee. Good music (Carole King, Bob Dylan, Neil Young etc). Friendly staff. They have WiFi if you need it too.
