Lorenzo is so attentive, welcoming amd passionate about not only his job, but the produce and wine he supplies! Best cheeseboard in Galway without a doubt! Highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for amazing local and Italian produce along with beautiful wine of course.

Lorenzo is a king! He was so lovely and attentive all night, gave great suggestions and looked after us. Made sure we had a great night and felt safe! 100% would recommend and will be coming back. Good and wine were delish too, and live music really set the tone!

Lorenzo is a gem. The wine flight was divine and catered to my individual tastes. Lorenzo was knowledgeable about the wines, their creation, region and the varietal of grape. We were concerned the meal may not have been enough food, but was so plentiful in quantity and QUALITY! The food had us clutching our hearts with joy over the depth of flavor. It is the best food in Galway and best in class. This was the best food and wine bar experience. Must see in Galway. Highly recommend for the food wine and atmosphere. The music was chill and there was a vibe. I appreciate the local sourcing of ingredients for all the food. Incredible!! 10/10

Wow! A must visit - best food, wine, and experience in Galway. Had a wonderful time here. Lorenzo took so much care and attention to our wine flights, crafting exactly the right mix for our preferences. Then, he crafted an absolutely perfect charcuterie board which was delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend The Lane Winebar for its atmosphere, food and wine. A pure joy.

The Lane came highly recommended by a friend and they were not wrong! The owner, Lorenzo, has the most unique selection of wines. Each one I tried was of higher and higher quality. He also crafts the most beautiful cheese boards. Filled with local meat and cheese, we couldn’t get enough. What a sweet little spot — a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of Shop Street. And, as an aside, it didn’t hurt a thing that Lorenzo was a delight to chat with, clearly cares for his customers, and easy on the eyes. 😉

Me and my girlfriend came here after dinner for a glass of wine, a few weeks ago. The atmosphere and setting was lovely, a small cellar which was very inviting. We were enjoying ourselves until a drunk individual entered and sat down at a table behind us. The barman did not remove him despite his drunkenness and witnessing him pestering me and my girlfriend and asking invasive questions while we were trying to enjoy our night. The drunk man then was offered water to sober up, and continued to ruin the calm setting of the wine bar, again not being removed by staff. Finally he left after trying to exit through a fridge door and we could go back to enjoying our night. Wine was good, pretty affordable and I know it had the potential to be a great spot just a shame that drunk student wandered off the street and entered, continued to annoy us for the duration of our drink without the intervention of staff, considering we are two young women together with this young drunk man harassing us. Would go back tho

New leadership as of January and Lorenzo is an incredible host. The wines are affordable and the cocktails are delicious. Best cheeseboards in town.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We've been to the continent and this is it in Ireland.

A really lovely spot for a glass of wine. Very friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. The table next to us got an incredible looking cheese board... I'll be trying that on my next visit. 2 thumbs up!!!
