Great food and served by brilliant lounge staff and waitresses .

The ambiance was charming, and the food was absolutely delightful.

Wow, what a job done here. The last time I was in The Laurels was 10 years ago. What a transformation, today its the ultimate gastro pub with an amazing menu. A local with a cool city centre feel however much warmer than most city centre venues. Run by Noel and his son Tommy, who has taken the venue in a modern direction whilst managing to keep the "local" appeal for all. A destination that is well worth a visit

Food is excellent, but more restaurant standard than pub, certainly lacks any old fashioned pub atmosphere due to bright lighting, modern decor, definitely not "cosy" in the way characterful pubs used to be.

It took 6 minutes before a barman came to serve.. Both having passed me on a number of times, and never even acknowledged me sitting at the Bar without a drink... It was early evening between 6pm to 7pm... However so not so busy... That's pure poor service.. However the service got better. different staff... I will return to check if things have changed....

Thanks to Tom and all the staff for looking after us all following the burial of our aunt on Saturday the 18th. The staff is very friendly food excellent service outstanding highly recommend this premises for good food.
