The Lazy River Café in Carlow

27/05/2025: Spent a semester in Carlow as an American exchange student: This cafe is genuinely the greatest cafe I've ever been to. The food is amazing, and their decaf iced mochas with oat milk go HARD! The staff are some of the sweetest people in Ireland and left a huge impact on my life. Clayton has the best Marvel shirts and book recommendations, Cian has the best hair and fun stories, Ava is HILARIOUS and the sweetest barista. Everyone here is amazing and I can't wait to come back.

27/05/2025: I was a foreign exchange student living in Carlow for four months. The moment I stepped into waterlilies, I knew it was going to be my spot. Not only did it live up to that idea but it exceeded it in every way. The staff at waterlilies are so kind and became good friends of mine. I miss them dearly. The food is always phenomenal and the coffee is as well. Their pain au chocolat is my favorite. It’s also lovely environment for people in all walks of life.
