Just back from a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Tulfarris. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. We had a lovely bright room with balcony overlooking the golf course which was not expecting! The bathroom was huge and had extra large walk in shower. My skin is looking a lot better from a facial with Sandra which really made me relax and feel on holiday. The bar and restaurant can get quite busy and being open plan, the noise level was loud. Some sound absorption materials might help but otherwise the stay was perfect! We got greatest value for the hotel on Rorys Travel Club.
Stayed 1 night. Nice drive out through Wicklow mountains. Rooms are separated by wafer thin walls. Our neighboring room talked all night so got no sleep. Overall not bad but won't stay again.
I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a wedding at The Tulfarris Hotel.
From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the idyllic natural surroundings that set a beautiful scene for the day. The ceremony suite was truly stunning, offering a calm and intimate atmosphere for the bride and groom to exchange their vows and take in the special moments together.
The lobby, lounge, and bar areas were all thoughtfully decorated, adding to the overall charm of the venue.
The staff exceeded all expectations with their professionalism and attentiveness throughout the day. There was only one small hiccup that stood out-when the groomsmen entered the banqueting suite for dinner, there was no music playing. I’ve grown used to music marking that moment, but it did lead to a light-hearted scene as they waved to guests like royalty on their way to the top table. Thankfully, the music was in full swing for the entrance of the bride and groom.
Dinner service was exceptional. I can’t recall the last time I had beef cooked so perfectly. Compliments to the chef.
I would highly recommend The Tulfarris Hotel for a wedding celebration or a relaxing getaway.
Lovely hotel in beautiful location. Dining room and bedrooms overlooked the beautiful golf course to take advantage of the views. The room was perfect, the bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. However the food was disappointing overall. Dinner in the fairways restaurant was average. The choice of starters was like Hobson's choice - spicy soup ( not everyone can digest spicy), pork terrine (forbidden by some religions), cured salmon and goats cheese mousse (both acquired tastes which I haven't acquired!). So a bad start to the meal. My salmon main course was fine but my husband's beef was disappointing. But my biggest gripe was the tea at breakfast, it was so bad that I had to ask for a clean cup so that I could have some of my husband's coffee instead. This was our second stay at Tulfarris but unfortunately it will be the last due to the above issues.
