We had a wonderful experience at the Lobster in Waterville

Excellent pub, good dinner, friendly staff

We had a really lovely experience here. We went for a meal in the early evening after a lovely beach day. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Cosy wee pub vibes. Lovely pint of Guinness. Then various delicious dinners...beef and guinness stew, chicken wings, fish and chips. All four of us were very happy with our food, and none of the many small changes we made, such as fries instead of mash etc were any trouble to the friendly, helpful waitress Heather. We shared two desserts, apple pie and sticky toffee pudding and both were perfect. Really recommend this place. Hope to be back some day. Wish it was closer to home.

Living close by, having had food here a good few times and it was always excellent. So far I tried the chowder, seafood pie, cajun chicken burger and buffalo toasties, which were all great. But nothing tops a sticky toffee pudding 🍮 If you are looking for authentic Irish, seaside food, with the busy atmosphere of a pub, this is your place. But also for simply enjoying a pint outside in the sunshine, this is THE location.

I ate the best and most tender braised beef I've ever tasted.

the food was good (we took onion rings, fish and chips, beans stew, burgers) but the quantity / price ratio was lacking in my opinion, the portions should be bigger

Regional dishes like thick fish soup and seafood baked with potatoes. There are also traditional dishes and, of course, Ginness 😄

You cannot have the lobster menu for lunch. That’s just how it is.

Very good chowder, also had the prawns that were very good. Definitely would recommend.
