The Make & Mark in Portlaoise

Hi. Me and my friend got nachos for starters, along with a make and mark burger and sizzling prawns for main. The nachos were very tasty! However, the make and mark burger had no seasoning whatsoever. One of the most plain tasting burgers I've had at a restaurant, even with the sauce on it. My friend thought the sizzling prawns were very nice, but did have better before. Staff are very nice though and the setting is nice too. In terms of pricing it's actually pretty good too compared to other restaurants of the same level. 6/10 recommend.

We had our sons Christening afters here, there was a big group of us, the service we received was second to none, the food was also delicious, massive thank you to our server Edel, you really made our day so seamless, would highly recommend.

This is a must go to place... everything was amazing...the food...to die for...and couldn't fault anything. Would definitely return...the servers did not make you feel uncomfortable...smiles all round...Thank you...(was way to hungry to take pics!!!)😁🤗.Thank you for a memorable experience!! 😀

The staff are just amazing We are so lucky in Athy to have such a brilliant hotel.

Food amazing 👏 ordered a cocktail which toke 2 different bar staff to understand what i was asking for 25 mins later talk about bad start then it toke them ANOTHER 30 to take the food order I get places are busy but I doubt I will return due to this too many chief not enough Indians. And the cocktail was so full of ice couldn't even taste the alcohol in it

Great staff. Great food. Great entertainment. You couldn't ask for more. If you're in Portlaoise it's a must see. Delicious food. The staff go above and beyond and the head barman is just a true gentleman

I recently had dinner here with my family . I had fish and chips and mushy peas, as did my mam. I never left a scrap of food. It was the nicest fish I've tasted in a long time, and the sauce that came with it was delicious 😋. My mam said exactly the same. Not one of my family had any complaints about their food either, they said they will definitely go there again. Staff were very friendly also. They looked after us very well. Top marks. 😊😊

My partner and I had lunch here recently. Both the waitress who served us and the chef were so helpful and accommodating of my partners restrictive dietary requirements. I was recommended a burger which was so delicious and the waitress suggested the roast for my partner and they made it suits her specific requirements. I couldn't rate the service highly enough

Delicious food excellent service varied menu really enjoyable experience brought my Mum on my 2nd visit she was very impressed
