The Make & Mark in Portlaoise

This is a great place to go for some food and a drink (alcoholic or soft). I've been here since it changed to the Make and Mark twice. The menu has so much choice and all the food that I've tried is delicious, well cooked, big portions and absolutely great service, friendly and helpful at all times, the atmosphere is also really nice. Overall, I would definitely recommend you go here and try some of the very tasty food. You won't be disappointed

Food was very good we got a sharing platter. Food came out in good time was hot and very nice. Pints of Guinness were very good. Staff were good

All five of us Enjoyed our meal. Good value for money, good service & friendly staff.

We celebrated a 21st there last week, and the service was great, great attention to detail, and special thanks to the staff, and especially to Leanne for making it all go so well. Would recommend it, and will return again.

Lovely food, decently priced and good location

The food was great. It fell down on service. We booked a table for 8 pm. We were there just before 8. We were showing to our table about 3 minutes pa's 8. At about 8.25, we were given the manu and asked if we wanted a drink. Later in the evening we were looking for another drink. Could not get a server. I had to go up to the bar to get an order. The waiting staff seem to be run of their feet. So might need more staff.

First time to visit this restaurant/ bar. Really nice place very cosy and comfy place. Very clean, food is very good and the menu has something for everyone. Excellent choice of starters mains and deserts. Reasonably priced and the staff are very nice and very helpful. Will definitely be going back and would recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.

My espresso martini was very tasty, although the marshmallows were not toasted as shown on the menu. My burger was also quite nice, though served without a side salad, so definiely felt like not enough veggies. Fries crispy and home made tasting. My son's burger from the kids menu was just a bun and patty + fries for the price of 10€ 😱 my other son complained his kids curry was spicy, so not sure if it was just a smaller serving of adults curry... My mam didn't really like her sloppy joe although thankfully she was able to get it with a gluten free bun. My son asked for cheese on his burger when ordering, but got none, his brother asked for no ice in his MiWadi but got served with ice... also 2€ for a single dash of MiWadi 😱 kids did like the big nutella sundae though (shared an adult one). All in all seems like a decent place for drinks & desserts (great selection of both), but not so much for other food, which is too pricy compared to it's quality.

Excellent fish & chips! Best one around. Fantastic desserts!

No trouble accommodating us on just a walk in .. extremely busy. Lovely staff polite and helpful .. fantastic food 😋
