This hotel was an absolute DREAM. Perfect location. Very clean. Incredible staff. We will be back! *there will be street noise - it’s part of the experience!*

This was the best hotel experience I've ever had. Our flight got in late (1am) and apparently most parking garages close at midnight. So where do you park? Not the street in Dublin 😂 After driving in vain for over an hour, I called the hotel and asked for advice. Robert answered and gave very clear directions on which car parks were open and told us to bring our luggage to the hotel so when we walked back from the car park we wouldnt have to haul it. We got to the front of the hotel and he was already outside with another gentleman (wish I knew his name) and they took our luggage in. Robert made sure my Google maps were set to the correct location. We found the car park and Robert was standing there! Thank God because we had to ring an attendant to open the gate and Robert knew what he was doing. We drove in and parked and when we came out to head to the hotel, Robert was waiting there to walk us back to the hotel. I couldnt believe. As two women traveling I felt welcomed and safe. What a beautiful experience. Well done!

Loved our 2 night break here ( room 412 was excellent ). The greeting, friendliness, cleanliness, breakfast ( and service ) was well above what we have ever had at a 4 star hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel ( and so near the attractions of Dublin - including the great music pubs - loved BadBobs )

Nice welcoming from the reception staff! Rooms were pretty small and tight to move around but very nicely furnished, we planned on having our 2 free cocktails before our dinner! We asked for the Mrs Mercantile cocktail and were just given a Jameson ginger ale in a champagne glass with no ice. Once we came back from dinner we wanted a drink but were left waiting 20 minutes at the bar but couldn’t get served so we left and asked at the reception could we order a drink to the room, then to be shown to the residents bar and it wasn’t open at quarter to 11, told to come back down an hour later at 12 o’clock to get the drink we want. Other than that, food was really good and the servers were decent and polite. Room to improve with this hotel service wise

The Mercantile Hotel gets the job done. It's been freshly renovated, so the rooms feel modern with nice touches and those rainfall showers everyone wants. Staff is friendly and actually helpful, plus they sell Aircoach tickets at reception which saves you a headache later. Downstairs there's a decent bar serving proper Irish breakfast and pub grub if you can't be bothered going out.

The Mercantile Hotel was just a brilliant stay, at the heart of Dublin. Walking distance to Trinity College, hence to many tour meeting points. The service was impeccable with very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms were quite pleasant with comfortable mattresses and most needed toiletries. Overall a great time was had in Dublin, due in part because of The Mercantile Hotel!

It was a great time for me and my wife in this hotel. The room and the bathroom was perfect, the welcome at the reception was friendly and courteous. The hotel's location is excellent and super central for visits in all directions, whether museums or pub crawls.

Had a wonderful stay on the 30th December. The hotel is absolutely pristine, everything is shiny and new and the decor is lovely. The location is perfect, Temple Bar, Grafton Street are both within a 5 minute walk, the bottom of O'Connel Street is about 10 minutes. The hotel's restaurant is decent, we both had the fish and chips and I got the impression that the fish was refried as the batter was so dark but it was still quite nice. The bar is lovely though. Overall, for the price, you'd struggle to find better.

17/01/2026: On vacation and one of the only places we found some Irish pub food. Our server was amazing, staff was very friendly and the food was great. It had a very fun atmosphere, my son asked to go back again after we tried a couple of other places.
