The Merry Cobbler in Dublin

Visiting from the west coast of Canada. Absolutely a fantastic little pub. The food was excellent. Chicken caesar salad and genuine fish and chips done to perfection. Chris is an outstanding host. He made you feel welcome as soon as he greeted you. Come early if you want the house dinner specials.

I was in Dublin for the day with my mate, and after a lot of walking we stumbled across this hidden gem of a place. It was very quiet when we were there but the place was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The barman Chris was such a decent guy, he suggested a booth so we could have drinks and charge our phones and he was decent to talk to. The Guinness was bang on. Chris, I highly recommend you and The Merry Cobbler to anyone and on my next visit I won't hesitate on coming back for a drink. Cheers Ps, that's Chris on the right in the group photo

Beautiful food as always... service was great 👍🏿 Guinness has never been great, first pint was excellent, second pint wasn't even finished 👎... sort it out @TheMerryCobbler and you could have the best pub in Dublin 4

Love this spot. Will and team jump to provide great service. But the cherry on top of the great outdoor seating and convenient location would definitely be the food. I'm not pretending this is some fine dining but it's some damn good causally awesome classics.

A veces encuentras un lugar que te gusta pero casi esperas que no se vuelva demasiado popular. Nos encanta este pub por su gran asado de domingo pero no queremos que mucha gente se entere 😉

Este lugar estaba cerca y conveniente para tener un almuerzo. Estaba limpio y ordenado y la comida estaba bien. Era un domingo con muy pocos comensales. Pedimos nuestra comida y a la llegada pedimos mayonesa, pero nos dijeron que no tenían, pero nos gustaría un poco de mayonesa de ajo. Dijimos que estaría bien también pedimos dos vasos de mi naranja wadi. Cuando llegó la factura me quedé asombrado a costa de 2. 00 cada uno para el Orange pero pensó que sí que debe haber un costo. Sin embargo cuando vi que habían cobrado 2, 50 cada uno por la mayonesa me quedé atónito, ya que la mayonesa de ajo llegaba en dos tamaños de dedal y no se anunciaba en el menú o esperábamos un costo y mucho menos un costo enorme. Cuando se le cuestionó sobre el costo, la camarera dijo que devolvería los 5 euros por la mayonesa de ajo. Esta es una mala práctica y sugiero que la dirección ponga su casa en orden para el cliente.
