The Old Deanery Cottages Ferns in Ferns

The Old Deanery is a fantastic place to host a hen! Bryanna and her family were so easy to deal with from start to finish. They were really helpful, so organised and made sure everything was going well all weekend. The cottages were lovely, very spacious and had everything we needed. There were also great indoor and outdoor spaces for the group, with lots of thoughtful little touches. Bryanna was also a huge help in making the weekend run smoothly, putting us in touch with brilliant people for Pilates, catering and karaoke. Everything was organised perfectly and really added to the experience. I would definitely recommend The Old Deanery to anyone planning a hen party or group getaway!

We booked the old Deanery cottages for my sisters hen party and we could not recommend this venue more. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with gorgeous quaint cottages perfect for hosting a hen party. There is also a fabulous barn, a wine cellar and an outside bar where we spent a lot of time! Everyone had an absolute ball especially the bride! Bryanna and her partner were so accommodating and really made the weekend so enjoyable! We booked the old Deanery for a special birthday weekend celebration and honestly couldn't have enjoyed it more. The accommodation was excellent, every facility you could wish for, very comfortable and all our guests felt instantly relaxed. Bryanna was so friendly, helpful and flexible in helping organise and recommend various activities (including a super musician Eugene Watters) and all the catering needed 0 and firing up the sauna! The Deanery is perfect for a group of 20-25 people - with plenty to do nearby in the historic (former capital of Leinster) and the historic adjacent village of Ferns (featuring the graves of Father Murphy and the dastardly villain King Diarmait Mac Murchada!). We'll be back!

We just spent a weekend for a hen party. We could not fault The Old Deanary. Bryanna was a pleasure to deal with and gave great suggestions for the weekend. The cottages are rustic and cosy with comfortable beds, hot showers and kitchens. The barn area was perfect for our meals and dancing the night away. We didn’t even need our own decorations as it was already so well done. Everything you could need is available on site with Ferns village only a 3 minute drive if you need extra supplies. The wine cellar was a beautiful location for the prosecco reception and also decorated. The group could enjoy their Saturday now by having a walk of the grounds and lovely gardens, or enjoying the sauna which is was such a treat to knock off the cobwebs. The venue is exclusive to your group and gated so it’s super secure. We had such a good time here. We recommend to any future brides, family reunions or any group gathering. It really is perfect!! Just back from celebrating my sisters hen weekend in The Old Deanery in Ferns. This was my second time staying here and it was as outstanding as ever. Each cottage is so clean, quaint, warm and full of character as is the barn. The Prosecco bar is wonderful. It is the perfect self-catering venue and everything we needed was there for us. The gardens are fabulous are ideal for groups or family trips. Nothing was a hassle for Bryanna who looked after us so well and had the sauna ready to go for us on request. I would highly recommend The Old Deanery, we will definitely be back!
