The Old Salt Coffee in Foxford

Can't resist stopping off here for a coffee when I'm passing through, what a hidden little gem. The taste is in a word 'perfect' (every time). The staff are cheerful and attentive, as soon as you walk in its unmistakable and adds a real personal element. A made to order cappuccino costs €3.50 which I would consider underpriced for what your getting "but shhhhh, don't tell anyone". You'll notice them take a bit more care and time than some of the larger chains and you can definitely taste the difference in your drink. If you have your own coffee machine you can buy a bag of coffee and I can honestly say its the nicest coffee I've found so far and I've tried a lot, branded as 'SUNDAY' it's a medium roasted Aribica/Robusta washed blend and a 1kg bag costs €30 and considering the best tasting supermarket coffee I could fund was Lavazza @ €25 it was well worth the extra €5 but a professional barista will always kick your b**t when it comes to a taste test. Try it once and prove me wrong, I DARE YA!

So nice to have local good barista coffee. Dog friendly too which is rare in Ireland. Electric car charging round the back also. Also the superfood bowls are very tasty. Aciai is difficult to find outside Brazil so these are a welcom treat.

Lovely coffee, friendly service and a great location. What more could you ask for. If you are in the area and need your coffee hit for the day stop here. Pleasant outdoor seating too.

The Old Salt is some great aboùt Foxford Co Mayo. They have a wide range of quality coffees & health snacks and a wide range of cakes . They are always looking to improve & to add something new to the menu . I would highly recommend the Old Salt

Absolutely perfect ! The coffee is professionally (and passionately!) made and tastes SO great. The team is really lovely and kind. There's also access to plugs if you need electricity and a cute book swap area. This is the greatest place to warm both body's and heart. Thanks so much to the whole team for the nice moment 🍀

Thanks again for those delicious coffees. We were on the road with no battery left in our phones or laptop, and the crew was incredibly sweet. They let us recharge our electronic devices for almost two hours and were still kind and accommodating. They even gave my girlfriend a book about flowers.

We were passing through Foxford and stopped off at the Old Salt Coffee Lab....tasty coffee, lovely atmosphere and really chatty friendly couple at the helm.We will definitely call again when we return to the West.Good luck for the summer season ahead!!!
