The Orchid Restaurant in Buttevant

We were passing through the area around lunchtime and decided to stop by for something to eat. We noticed this place on the street and thought we'd give it a try. At first glance, it seemed quite old-fashioned in style. We took a seat and spoke with the staff who were lovely. The food was fantastic, there were quite a few locals dining in there as well—always a good sign—and the value for money was excellent. I’ll definitely go back if I pass through the area again, as the quality was top-notch. As I mentioned, it might not look like much from the outside, but once you sit down and have a meal, it’s a real hidden gem.

Great place for a full Irish. It didn’t look like much from outside but glad I went in. Roaring fire, friendly service and the full breakfast was good quality, well cooked and plenty of it. €12.50 including tea and toast.

I called in here friday evening had beef casserole, and honestly it was one of the nicest I ever tasted excellent service reasonably priced it really was outstanding

A quaint but unique restaurant that serves great wholesome cooking just like your mother would cook and for exceptional value !! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

Nice, home cooked meals served in a welcoming setting. Expect standard Irish menu items such as Beef stroganoff or stew, Quiche and Salad, Chicken Curry, Roast of the day etc. Excellent value for money and generous portions.

Lovely dinner. Really recommend the cottage pie 🥧 👌 😋 😍
