The Oval in Dublin

The nicest pub I've been to in Dublin! A typical Irish pub near Dublin's main street; really good food and friendly staff, all in a warm, quintessentially Irish atmosphere! Would I recommend it? Definitely! Would I go back? Absolutely!

The Oval Bar made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a recommendation from a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar. When a Guinness bartender tells you where to go for a pint, you listen. We grabbed a snug corner of the bar and ended up chatting with the bartenders for a while. Great service, friendly staff and a solid atmosphere all around. The place has a unique upscale feel without losing the charm of a classic Irish pub, which is a tough balance to pull off. The pints were good, the service was even better and the whole vibe felt easygoing and relaxed. Overall, a great addition to the list.

People like Gustavo really elevate the whole experience, he’s professional, warm, and just overall a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend looking for him if you want great service and a lovely vibe. The food itself was really good, but the portion was massive, way more than I expected. I couldn’t finish it, and honestly, I felt a bit bad about leaving so much behind. I also really appreciate the dedication they put into their handwritten menu. Ps: soda bread was the best

We loved the decor of this "traditional, typical" pub. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and the service was truly pleasant and attentive. It was a bit noisy, but I think that's to be expected here. We tried the Irish stew, and it was really good, served with Guinness brown bread. Don't hesitate to go there for a meal or just for a drink.
