The Quays in Athlone

We had a lovely brunch there out on the riverside terrace. Good food, reasonably priced. Loads of space on the terrace.

Very pleasant hotel with comfortable and well-maintained rooms. Spacious lobby and adjoining bar/restaurant with river views for a drink. Accessible swimming pools (bring a swimming cap). Very pleasant and helpful staff.

My only problem was with the poor television service. No instructions to operate the TV. The staff couldn't tell me how to operate the TV. After an hour of trial and error I finally got a program. I was scared to change the channel for fear of the TV wigging out again. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Excellent hotel, wonderful people and wonderful food

8 of us have stayed recently for 3x nights bed and breakfast... very spacious rooms and fantastic for my granny who is in a wheelchair...the accessibilty in the hotel is amazing... the best experience was with the staff...they honestly went above and beyond from breakfast to friendly hellos in the hallways... we would like to say a special thank you to Avril, Falvo and Tulay. We will most definately be back.

Great place for a break the hotel is comfortable and clean the staff pleasant and helpful from check in to check out could not fault this hotel All the staff are great especially Nichole berry who went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and Tulay who is so efficient and always greets you with a smile Thanks Joe and Margaret tobin

Perfect hotel for perfect guests

We stayed one night in a family room. The room was spacious and clean, but the pillows were uncomfortable. There was a strange taste in the tea and coffee—we initially thought it was the kettle, which was quickly replaced upon request, but the issue turned out to be the water itself. Even the tap water had a noticeable moldy smell. We also used the pool, but the changing rooms were poorly maintained. None of the four shower stalls had any shampoo. While the room itself was nice, the overall hygiene and water issues make it unlikely for us to return.

Comfortable, clean, and up to date hotel in excellent location right on the River Shannon. Super close to downtown, but without the hassle of traffic or headache of looking for parking. Park your car in their lot then forget about til you check out. You can easily walk to the city shops, Athlone Castle, and Sean's bar. The Radisson Blu also has all the amenities you need right there.. Bar, restaurant, pool, gym, etc... Even though we traveled throughout the southern half of Ireland and stayed at a number of hotels and B&B's, (all of which were great), the Radisson Blu was easily one of my favorite stays. Yes it is a big place, but I never felt crowded or like I was surrounded by tourists such as myself.
