The Rag Trader in Dublin

I spent a while chatting with everyone. Staff is incredibly fun and friendly. Dave’s hands make the best old fashions. Had a great time with great drinks!!!

Garett and Dave what a brilliant duo behind the bar … my first day in dublin I didn’t only get an amazing old fashioned which I have never liked in the past but also the comedy show of these two gentlemen working together… would have paid money to see them :)… then I came back on Saturday and the speed in which they both serve drinks without comprising its taste is very impressive… and on Sunday I went back once more to have a lovely last evening in Dublin and Garett kept me entertained and gave me some life lessons and wisdoms that I will never forget! what a true Irish old school gentleman he is! We also met Mark and he is just as fantastic as the rest of the team… his Amaretto sour with a cherry twist is a drink I will come back for as well as both Dave’s and Garret’s old fashioned cocktails the place has a wonderful atmosphere but these three gentlemen is the reason I kept going back and will come back in the future!

Friendly service and huge selection of whisky

Excellent whiskey selection, great food and exceptional service. We were on a family trip to Ireland to spread my uncle's ashes and our time at the Rag Trader was one of the highlights of the trip. The staff, especially Garrett, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I highly recommend it.

Good atmosphere, very friendly and the best price on beers (of which we have tried in Dublin)

Lovely staff, greeted with a cheery hello as soon as we stepped through the door. The gentleman who served behind the bar was a breath of fresh air and had a great sense of humour. Would recommend.

Absolutely lovely bar and absolutely lovely Guinness. Big shout out to Jesse the bartender, whose expertise and personality were a big part of such a positive experience! If I ever make my way back to Dublin I'll be sure to return!

Probably one of the best looking pubs in the heart of Dublin. Really tasty pint of Guinness and from what I’ve heard you can get nice food as well!

I got goosebumps walking into this bar. It was an instant reaction. The hair on the back of my neck was standing up. I had just found the perfect fusion of past and present. Whom ever designed this bar is a genius. Using the furniture from the drapery business adds a old world vibe. Very cool. Down to business. The whiskey selection is impressive. As a whiskey apprentice I know and recognise the great ones. There’s every type of Red Brest, a huge selection of Fercullen whiskey and most importantly the crème, Middleton Whiskey. There’s whiskey of the week and tastings available . If great Irish whiskey is your love this is the place to go. The lads and ladies behind the counter were very helpful and knowledgeable. Obviously the place is spotless. It’s very well run. I’m in the business! .

Great selection of whiskeys, comfortable spot for a pint and good conversation with the staff. Daryl will make you an excellent cocktail and chat you up.
