The Railway Tavern in Fahan

Food was amazing, the only thing I would say is bar staff need to learn how to pour a pint of guinness there was virtually no head on it . 😀 🌟

5* for everything. Not sure about other items on menu but the steaks were excellent, compliments to all the staff and chefs.

We were visiting the area and although we did not have a reservation, we received a very warm welcome and shown to a table near the fire box. We selected the rib eye steaks and enjoyed watching them being cooked in front of us. The restaurant was busy but service was prompt. Our steaks were flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Desserts were freshly made in house which is not so common nowadays. I highly recommend the panna cotta. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The ambience was second to none with local railway memorabilia on every wall. I recommend this restaurant for a family occasion or an intimate dining experience. Looking forward to returning.

This place is absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful location and so cosy and homely inside. The food and service is always really good. Came today and got the steak stack with the crispy cabbage, which I had never tried before, and it was absolutely delicious!! Waitress said there was a secret sauce on it which I would now love to find out. Defo recommend this place!
