The Red Door Cafe in Carrickmacross

Such a lovely cafe. We really enjoyed our food. The staff were very helpful and efficient. A great spot for kids/babies too. Would highly recommend.

Great place, lovely staff, a simple menu but everything on it is tastey and well made, almost all options avaliable gluten free! Lovely coffee and tastey treats to go with, good parking just around the corner at a keen rate, you may need to wait for a seat but we'll worth it!

Really great hot, hot Hot Chocolate... just the way I like it. The cakes and tray bakes are lovely... got this lovely orangey carrot cake with ice cream and it was not only delicious but presented beautifully!

Avocado toast with halloumi cheese was very nice, and the coffee was very good. My partner's pancakes were quite dry and bland but otherwise this is a really nice alternative cafe.

Since Covid, Carrickmacross has become a total haven for coffee lovers - we really are spoiled for choice! Red Door also does sit-in food where other places don’t necessarily. I like to divide my business among all the coffee places in Carrick if I’m honest because I like them all. Red Door is my chosen destination for a cold coffee almost every time, though. I don’t like mine sweetened, and whatever it is about the coffee they use, it’s just perfect for cold coffee with a natural caramel sweetness. I’ve only had sit-in food once and it was lovely, but on my last visit I had a piece of chocolate cake with strawberry which was just delicious. My wife loves the cinnamon swirls, too. Especially if they’ve been warmed a little. Staff in Red Door are always friendly and there’s always a nice atmosphere in the place. Being not a people person, I do prefer it when it’s a bit quieter but your mileage may vary!

Incredible experience in Reddoor cafe. Amazing coffee and food but the service was the big winner, very friendly and great vibes the moment you walked in.

Allow it! Coffee is leng, the staff are sound innit, dog friendly. Perfect spot to link up for a coconut flat white & breakfast. Bless up RDC 👊🏼

My favourite cafe in Ireland. The pastries and omelette are sumptuous and keeps me coming back. The staff treat dogs so well and it's has such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.
