We went for the first time today as we’d seen reviews it was very dog friendly - and happy to find it was! Plus the food was delicious & the staff absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back!

Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee and even better company. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The food (I recommend the pancakes!) and coffee are consistently excellent, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. One of the things that makes it extra special is the community spirit – the Sunday run club is such a brilliant idea and adds a really positive vibe. The cafe is also dog friendly, which makes it the perfect spot to relax after a walk or run.

The food is simply delicious! The service is excellent and atmosphere is pawsitively bubly and and always lively,thanks to being pet friendly 👌 The pancakes and in my opinion "door stopping"frech toast are simply hands down the absolute best !!! If you havnt experienced The red door Cafe's vibe ! Sunday mornings there's a run/family walk 3 or 5km . It's great Craic !!!

Amazing spot. Coffee was excellent. Wife and I had French toast and avocado sourdough with bacon. Food was delicious. Also this place is very dog friendly so our little guy was welcome. 10/10

Food 100% as always. Portions are just right and the presentation is excellent. A great place for lunch or just a meet up. Any feedback is acted upon and one of the top places in Carrickmacross for a coffee and quick bite.

22/09/2025: We got an old room and the bed was so uncomfortable + the bathroom in really bad need of refurbishment
29/08/2025: We stayed a couple of nights here and enjoyed being in Carrick. The rooms were very nice but left down by two elements. Firstly, during fairly warm summer weather they were extremely hot with no ability to fully open the windows. Secondly, the shower was very hot and extremely difficult to alter the temperature due to a very stiff control tap - this was the case in multiple rooms (we knew other people staying here) and is something they need to sort out. Breakfast was generally good but could have done with at least some vegetarian options. Service was pleasant and the reception staff were particularly good.
