The char siu here is the worst I've ever had in all of Britain; it's hard and has a papery crust.

Love the food. It's as I've always remembered it tasting. Haven't been there in a long while. Went very early (10am) when they open, but there were already customers in there being served. My takeaway was ready in a couple minutes and it's what they do, genuine Chinese food served very quickly, as fast, if not faster, than any fast food joints I've ever frequented. Pricing is more than I've remembered but then as I say, been a while! 10-15 quid for a great take out that is authentic and fast. Atmosphere is marked down, perhaps unfairly, because the customers are the atmosphere, and in this one occasion I was there at opening time

The experience here is always sadly mixed. The crispy roast pork belly is really good and a generous portion. It’s always been consistently good. The vegetarian crispy noodles is really hit and miss: the last visit it was sooooooo salty we finished a 1.5L bottle of water on the ride home! I think they added the black bean and soy which overloaded it with salt but the service isn’t the sort where a complaint is welcomed and remedied, so it’s a bit of a lottery when you eat here. The seafood noodles is good, again generous portion and well balanced flavours.

The siu mei was too dry, the pork knuckle noodles were too MSG-laden, the beef noodles were quite good, and the Hong Kong-style milk tea was delicious, most similar to what you'd find in the UK. Note: plum sauce is extra!

Great food, fast service. Not here for a long meal just eat and go, which is just what you need sometimes. Huge menu. Bakery attached to it also amazing.

Very crowded sometimes but for a good reason - has the best roast duck, meats and wonton soup in London. Attentive and quick staff and service

Good food but have extremely nasty staff like a female manager & the cashier. They have no people skills & how to treat customers & don't deserve to be employed in an establishment where there are a variety of customers who these nasty staff think that they can shout at & misbehave with! However with washbasins that are overflowing with water 💧! 2.2.25 Tasty food of mixed meat 🍖, scrambled eggs 🥚 & Udon Noodles 🍜 served by friendly staff & owner manager. 23.4.25 Tasty mixed meat ( which could have been softer!) with scrambled eggs & ho-fun noodles served by friendly & accomodating staff in a clean environment. However, some crooked customers seem to order a lot of food which they can't possibly finish & then want to leave without paying! 22.9.25 Tasty food & soups served by friendly staff who however seem to get the orders mixed up!

Update 2025 - £10 per head cover charge. Weekends are always busy. You do get the fresh roasted meat on weekends. Best get there early as they can run out of roast meat. It closes early on Sunday as it shares the entrance with the supermarket next door. This place is reasonable priced for what you get. You won’t get cheaper places other than Chinatown in London. Portions are generous and the flavours are close to what you can get in Hong Kong. The staff can be terse - do not expect silver service. I had worse service in Chinatown - London, Birmingham, Manchester. If you love roasted meat come to this place. The roast duck and roast pork is great. Carpark is under the supermarket 4 hours free parking (as of December 2022).

Many people know their food and bakery but their cakes are amazing as well! It's the more 'old-fashion' traditional Hong Kong cakes, fresh cream, not very sweet. £18 for a one-pound cake, recommended for 4-6 people, we think easily for 6-8 people. It's an absolute bargain, as many insta-cakes sell for £35+ for the same size.
