First....it's a caff. Meaning the seating and atmosphere is like a "working mans caff" from the old days. Except... most of its customers are Chinese or Asian and the food is Chinese.
Which means it's delicious.
It's not about "elegant dining". They've got a restaurant next door that does that (with prices to match).
Nope....this is a great caff for quick, tasty, reasonably priced eats.
China town (Soho) style eats.
Half a roast duck , with delicious dipping sauce... sixteen quid takeaway.
I've only ever got takeaway as I use this as an afterthought to my shopping.
Eg....I bought some Logamamma chili oil with peanuts and I needed some duck to go with it.
It's not your anglicised Chinese. Though I enjoy a lot of anglicised Chinese dishes.
The only thing I think is overpriced is their cold drinks £4+ for an apple juice drink????
Staff are nice and service is super quick.
Just remember that some dishes may have been prepared earlier and it's normal for them to come at their current temperature. Open 7 days a week. Closes early on a Sunday.
100% Hong Kong flavor, iced lemon tea and iced milk tea plus beef tendon noodles and tofu and pork belly rice! There are also too many choices: curry beef brisket rice and mixed fried river, bringing back memories of childhood.
Classic Hong Kong style cafe. Service is quick and efficient. Food is tasty with large portions and wide variety. Good opportunity to shop next door at Wing Yip.
Good authentic Cantonese food. The special fried rice has right the aroma being cooked in a hot wok. Hot and sour soup is delicious and has all the right components. Won ton noodle soup is very authentic. The place can be very busy so be prepared to share a table at peak times. Service is good for this type restaurant. Staff are polite and responsive. Note that there is poor 4g reception and the free WiFi might not reach your table.
It is a Hong Kong style cafe. It is Chinese fast food. It is super fast. The food is a very good portion and tastes authentic. Service, don't expect a smile. Staff are courteous and respectful, can be cheeky, and talk back to you if you show impatience. Definitely value for money and good food.
The Chinese for the restaurant trade and a rare full barbecue meats selection away from London's Chinatown. Absolutely lovely place to eat and a wonderful experience for the shopper as you can see through to the immense Wing Yip supernarket. My pic was kinda liked on my Facebook, too! They recognised me as a regular...so I think I got an extra spoonful of red bean in my coconut milk drink. I had crab and corn soup, then belly pork and roast duck with rice and a sprig of pak choi. It's a lovely treat every time and was £20 with a nice tip, so deeply keenly priced for the quality.
