A very decent & by Irish standards reasonably priced place to stay. Spotless, spacious bedroom + superb modern shower room. Couldn’t be more central in Donegal Town. Large car park a short walk away costing (if memory serves) a little over €1 for 24 hours with no restrictions on length of stay. I’m knocking off a star because there’s no breakfast option & the experience overall was rather impersonal. The steep, narrow stairs up to rooms might be challenging to the aged or infirm, as might the uphill walk from Car Park #4 with suitcases.

Very convenient location. The receptionist was very kind. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Breakfast downstairs.

This little bar added to such a unique experience to this area of Ireland. The room was just renovated with a clean modern bathroom. You could not hear any noise from the bar below. The bartender was a lovely young lady who obviously loved her job there. Thank you so much for a great experience.

I only went to the bar, and it was really okay. Super friendly service and nice conversations with the guests. A meeting place for locals, very pleasant.

22/08/2025: Went to La Bella Donna for dinner and really enjoyed it. I had the Pollo Diavolo which was full of flavour and had just the right kick, while my wife had a pizza that was fresh and delicious. The staff were really patient and accommodating with our little ones, which we really appreciated. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere – we’ll definitely be back.
18/08/2025: The food at La Bella Donna was excellent, and our waitress was really great. We expected a bit of a wait since the menu mentioned that everything is made fresh, but we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. A couple of tables seated around the same time had already finished and left before we were served. That said, our server was very apologetic and kept checking in with updates, which we really appreciated. The only other downside to the experience was the woman who seemed to be the host or manager. She was not pleasant to interact with and came across as quite rude.

18/08/2025: Great stay in a very lively town
15/07/2025: The bay-facing room was okay, the bathroom very nice and newly furnished, but that's to be expected from a hotel in a central location and at this price. The breakfast is average, but the coffee is beyond compare. We managed to get the staff to bring us an espresso once, but on subsequent days, there was apparently an order that this service wasn't available.
