We wanted to have lunch before reaching the Monastic Site of Clonmacnoise so we stopped at the River Café which was well signaled on the road. My wife ordered the Quiche Lorraine and I ordered the Cod and Chips. We shared a Pavlova for dessert. All dishes were truly excellent! Highly recommended.
Passing through today, we stopped at the River Cafe, enjoyed a tasteful lunch and viewed the free exhibition which presents an informative insight into the Napoleonic Fortifications & Martello Towers built in Ireland. The staff were helpful & pleasant & looked cool in their River Cafe t-shirts. Toilet spotless. It is dog friendly too🐶. Picked up some lovely items in the gift shop.
the most lovely cafe to stop and enjoy the view of the shannon. the big menu has loads to offer no matter what you are looking for. team and great, friendly and make the spend worth it...big portions and lovely food all round. coffee especially good. many thanks and will definitely be back.
A tolerable cafe in a chic location. Nice view. Nice interior inside and seating outside. An opportunity to calmly view the bridge and the river. But we prefer the restaurant opposite, across the river.
