The Rusty Oven in

The rooms had a bright green exit sign that did not shut off so the room was not dark. Other than that it was great. Food was ok Pub was amazing

Stayed there for a night, accommodation is hostel like,food was ok, atmosphere great,building beautiful. Great pub ,great location but accommodation was a bit off a stretch. I'm fifty two and had to use bunk beds ,probably my fault as I didn't research.

A GEM in the countryside. Visited for a late lunch after a wet hike. 6 of us seated quickly. The Guinness was cold and the Chowder was plentiful and warm. Probably the best chowder I've had in some time. Would love to come back.

Very friendly staff,food and entertainment great,the Rusty Mackerel is well worth a visit

This is a nice pub with excellent staff. The food is over priced. Some of the dishes are fine. Had the Mackerel. Potatoes undercooked peas hard. Got side of veg, Overcooked with more hard peas.Chicken Wing starter was tasty but expensive for what we got. Much higher standard when we visited in 2023. We will visit the area next year but will either find somewhere else or cook in.

We stopped off here on the way to Slieve League for a bite to eat, the brownie was out of this world. Very friendly staff

Fish and chips were absolutely stunning

Solid pub food! Fast and friendly service! Great on your way back from Sliabh Liag! The Mackerel was really not Rusty!!! And the fish and chips delicious!

They were pretty slow about taking orders - we were sitting there for about 15 minutes before a drinks order was taken. The fish and chips was reasonable enough but was on the edge of being pretty greasy. Was fine as it was piping hot but would have been horrible if let sit for a few minutes. There was a lot of variation in portion sizes. What we got was pretty poor for the price but a piece twice the size arrived at the table beside us. Kitchen closes very early. One of our party arrived at 8:35 and was told the kitchen had just stopped taking orders. They managed something but it was a close run thing. I wouldn't eat here out of choice but I usually go to Teelin as part of a group who like the Rusty for a few pints after dinner.
