The Rusty Mackerel is a great pub with really good service and friendliness. Food was great amd we really enjoyed our stay. Fantastically dog friendly as well.

The food was good, but the hotel rooms were tiny and there was insufficient parking for hotel guests. Looks like they are expanding their parking, but having to move our car late in the evening after the pub guests left was a pain.

This is a beautiful place gorgeous food lovely staff. We had the fisherman's pie. It was to die for . We had the crème brûlée after also to die for. It was valentines day so they treated couples to glasses of prosecco and a rose. Such a lovely gesture. Oh i just wish I didnt live so far away from here !!!

We loved this restaurant! The atmosphere is very Irish and the food is delicious (we ordered the sirloin steak and it was fantastic). A special mention goes to Marc, who served us with great kindness and gave us excellent recommendations. We were so happy to meet someone like him! Thank you for your attention, professionalism, and friendliness. We'll be back soon!

An absolute gem! The place to stay and eat in the area.

My friends and I stopped at the Rusty Mackerel for a night on a road trip through north west Ireland, and boy were we impressed! The Rusty Mackerel is THE place to stay and have dinner at if you want a true Irish experience. It was recommended to us by locals and it exceeded our expectations. The vibes are the best, live music, warm and cozy fireplace, kind and welcoming staff, good food, great beer and the rooms are peaceful and quiet. I will be back without a doubt!! You are very close to Slieve League, the hike is easy and will blow your mind! Highly recommend staying at the Rusty Mackerel!

Just returned from celebrating my 70th Birthday here.....Every single member of staff were amazing...So proffesional in every way...Menu was good and food delicous...Loved the set up all very close up and personal..Music evenings were great fun....Rooms are a wee bit compact but completley understand why.... Definatley be back in the summer...

Superb meal, very pleasant staff, thank you for this delightful experience 🥘 A traditional establishment with an exceptional location at the foot of the cliffs. I had lost my bag containing my passport, and the bar kept it safe for me until the next day. Thank you again!
