The Rusty Oven in

A warm welcome, acknowledgement from a barman busy with other things. The host squeezed us into a corner table despite us not having made a reservation and the night continued in a similar positive way. Great service, great food and the best Guiness - what's not to love!

Lovely food, friendly attentive staff.

Stopped here for food and left with huge smiles on our faces. Prices were brilliant and portions were huge. My partner couldn't finish her pasta dish. We also loved the live entertainment 🥰

Great place to grab a couple of pints and some fish & chips after the hike to the top!

Pub with good food. We eat F&C and a Guinness. We stayed here overnight because we left Rosslare by boat. From here 2 km.

We ate dinner in the restaurant and drank at the bar afterwards. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere and music at the bar was lovely. Food was decent but not outstanding, chowder excellent, chicken burger and mackerel fairly average. A pity there wasn’t more fresh seafood on the menu when there are world class oysters and crustaceans caught locally.

They were pretty slow about taking orders - we were sitting there for about 15 minutes before a drinks order was taken. The fish and chips was reasonable enough but was on the edge of being pretty greasy. Was fine as it was piping hot but would have been horrible if let sit for a few minutes. There was a lot of variation in portion sizes. What we got was pretty poor for the price but a piece twice the size arrived at the table beside us. Kitchen closes very early. One of our party arrived at 8:35 and was told the kitchen had just stopped taking orders. They managed something but it was a close run thing. I wouldn't eat here out of choice but I usually go to Teelin as part of a group who like the Rusty for a few pints after dinner.
