A+ for service Our food was brought out quickly, fresh and hot. Hefty portion sizes, great service from the staff. Then had a lovely viewing point on the terrace where you could look out at the sea, listen to music and pet dogs.

Burger was great ! we had to wait for a table as we had not booked a table - 30 minute wait and sat outside with a gorgeous view totally worth it !

This is a very nice place to eat. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The prices are decent. The fish and chips are excellent. Also the shoreline works for breakfast is all time.

Ballyroe Heights Hotel

15/07/2026: I booked this hotel for a work trip because I have a budget to stick to. The hotels online photos and trip advisor photos do this place no justice. What I expected was a very basic old style hotel. When I arrived I genuinely thought I was at the wrong hotel. I cannot believe this is only a three-star hotel. My room is beautiful, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail is unreal. White Company toiletries, plush bathrobes, a Dyson-style hairdryer, even a clothes steamer—these are the sort of touches that might not even be available in hotels charging several times the price. I’ve stayed in plenty of five-star hotels that don’t get the basics this right. Everything feels thoughtful, beautifully presented and genuinely luxurious. Tonight has been an education to myself that sometimes the best stays come with the fewest stars. My only complaint is that everything is too nice and I haven’t done any work!
