This is a very nice place to eat. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The prices are decent. The fish and chips are excellent. Also the shoreline works for breakfast is all time.

ABBY ABBY ABBY, what a delight. She brought us behind the bar to show us how to pour our very first Irish Guinness. The bar has wonderful history and it goes on and on like you'll never find the back door. Timmy was super friendly and very helpful with information. Great craic

This is a great place for a spot of lunch inside with a great Sea view. Also lovely in the sunshine to sit outside and grab a coffee from the food truck. Just on the odd occasion the coffee can be hit and miss as can the food from inside. Toasties from the truck are always a hit. Staff are friendly.

02/02/2026: Our stay at Mount Juliet was made even more memorable by several meals at The Hound, and it truly did not disappoint. From appetizers to mains and desserts, every dish we had across multiple lunches and dinners was extremely good. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea; even though the weather kept us from the outside terrace, the staff were so attentive and ensured we were perfectly taken care of indoors. It was a flawless dining experience that has me already looking forward to my next staycation!
