The Silver Salmon - Grill & Seafood Restaurant in Ennis

This place had been recommended by a patron I had met at a brewery a few blocks away. We were seated as soon as we walked into the place. It could have been due to the fact that it was during a weekday, but regardless we were seated quickly. I ordered a crab mac and cheese dish. It was good, real good. The server was on it with bread drinks and making sure all was good without being overly. This place is top notch. Good food, good vibe, and good service. And, yes Clark, I will be back... for more bread. To the Silver Salmon Grille Cheers!

Rustic atmosphere. Well dated and well maintained. Our server was attending and polite. The claim chowder was great. The main course meal was good. I ordered the crab mac-n-cheese. The cheese could use a little finessing but wasn't horrible

We were excited to go here. Wife ordered Lobster, I had the Filet. Hanna was our waitress. Thank you Hanna, you were attentive and personable. The best thing was the warm bread and butter . Unfortunately, the rest of our food was barely warm. Food presentation was seriously lacking. As former food service workers and restaurant owners we were not impressed. My Filet was fork tender but not even warm. My wife's Lobster was barely warm and presentation was poor at best. Lobster butter was bland. We ate here on a Tuesday night, and not busy. Not sure we'll return.

Ordered take out and they did not disappoint! The beer battered shrimp are really yummy and they hook you up with plenty of sauce which I love.

I sat at the bar during Happy Hour and the bartender helped me pick amazing food and drinks. The locals were absolutely friendly and fun to talk with. I finished my meal with some clam chowder and cheesey bread that was so good!

The Fish and Chips (Halibut) was so fresh and tasteful that we had to order extra so we didn’t have to fight over it. The jambalaya was rich in flavor with seafood and sausages.

We had originally gone to Astoria Brewery but the table sharing, hipsters (I grew up here and I see enough of that sh#$t in Portland) and having to go to the counter to order was ridiculously annoying... We left and went to Silver Salmon and it was quiet, comfortable, the servers were amazing and the food was incredible. I appreciated that even though my "child" is 17, they let her order off the kids menu because she's so picky. Would definitely go back and love to try more of their menu. I had the steak bites with garlic mashed potatoes and it came with steamed broccoli. Normally I don't care for broccoli but it melted in my mouth and was a perfect combo bite with the mash and steak.

We love this place and stop every time we are near Astoria.
