The Silver Salmon - Grill & Seafood Restaurant in Ennis

Stopped in for dinner. We did have a reservation and were immediately seated. Place is clean, rustic and had a good feel 1st piece of bad news: no clams. Given this was a Sunday they probably just had a busy week, disappointing but understandable. 1 of the kegerators was also down leaving 2 beers on tap. We started with the shrimp cocktail and I had a cup of chowder. Which was absolutely excellent. My wife ordered the halibut fish and chips, also excellent and quite possibly the best fish and chips I've had. I ordered the smoked salmon and it was pretty disappointing. Very little smoke flavor and the fish felt a bit dry. Overall the experience was a mixed bag. I would return for the fish and chips alone and hope to get my hands on some clams.

Reasonable prices for great service and good food

The food was okay. Restaurant was dark and it was very expensive for what you got. Service was mediocre at best

I had the Halibut and it was grilled and crispy. Lots of flavor. My husband had the fettuccine Alfredo. He loved it and was constipated for three days. Very real cheese.

Very nice upscale vibe. Great service & I cannot say enough about how amazing the food is. Having had a bad lunch elsewhere the day before only helped fuel how fantastic this place is. Their clam chowder is literally the best I've ever had, & that's saying something.

A little spendy but worth it! Our waitress was freaking awesome. She was the only one there on a Thursday afternoon and the hostess had told us it'd be 20 minutes and our waitress (wish i got her name) insisted that she seat us right away and that she'd be with us in 5 minutes! She kept our drinks full, served our food and held down the rest of the restaurant too. Oh! And the food was good!!

The fried artichoke appetizer and cheesy bread were absolutely delicious! The lobster dinner was very good, nice big lobster tail. The filet mignon was very thin and I didnt care for the salmon cakes. Dessert was wonderful!

Excellent service and the food was delicious

This place had been recommended by a patron I had met at a brewery a few blocks away. We were seated as soon as we walked into the place. It could have been due to the fact that it was during a weekday, but regardless we were seated quickly. I ordered a crab mac and cheese dish. It was good, real good. The server was on it with bread drinks and making sure all was good without being overly. This place is top notch. Good food, good vibe, and good service. And, yes Clark, I will be back... for more bread. To the Silver Salmon Grille Cheers!
