The Stone Boat in Dublin

Great traditional pub great staff lovely atmosphere

We went to a 50th birthday party in the Stoneboat. The party was in a private room upstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean and the room was nice. My only complaint, there was no air conditioning and it was really uncomfortably hot, everyone was complaining about the heat. It put a bit of a dampener on the night. The person who's party it was wanted to go home to get some fans. The food was brought in from an outside caterer. I have been here before for other gatherings, a funeral, a christening and a communion and it's always been a nice place. It's not far from the city with regular busses stopping outside. They have live music at the weekends. I recommend the Stoneboat.

Mixed emotions. Just home after being here tonight. It's a busy pub and good atmosphere. So to walk to the toilets you have to walk through a gap that the bar team go between to get from the bar to the lounge. I was only in the pub and headed to the toilet when a staff member comes barging through said gap all guns blazing and puts a pint all over me! Me like a thick in shock says sorry about that! Then I'm like why am I apologising? He put a pint all over me! Absolutely no reason to be storming through full speed, especially when he knows it's the only way to the toilets! Staff should be cautious of people going to the toilet! Spent the rest of the night with a pint all over my jeans! Not even a sorry out of him!

Great pint, shame they don't do food. Would be ideal for coddle
