Dined here for Sunday lunch. Had table at bar the ambiance was great. We all had the goose and it was terrific. Tasty and festive. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend.

This is the 2nd time myself and my husband went for dinner 🍽 here..It's a lovely place and the food is top 👌 class..I would recommend you book your visit as it's a very busy place and it deserves all the 🌟 I can give..Keep up the good work 👏. First time visit and certainly won’t be the last .. we were visiting birr castle and googled restaurants near by and decided on the Thatch.. one of the tastiest steak sandwiches we have had .. the two teenagers had a huge fish pie and bacon and cabbage.. all very tasty. Plenty of Desserts to choose from and fresh and very tasty especially the bread and butter pudding. To be honest we got it hard to leave .. open fire , friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.. I can see why this pub has won pub of the year on a number of occasions. Highly recommended if travelling about the midlands.

Very tasty food, steak and salads are good! The shrimp are delicious, a variety of desserts and ice cream, excellent service. Recommended!
