It's always special to learn about our history. Our tour guide is a credit to the cemetery and experience of the tour, so much passion and Indepth stories of every grave we visited . Would highly recommend it.

The reason this is worth the visit is the tour. Small group, expert guide 22 euro. You're taken to grave sites in a kind of historical order and given stories for each person woven into the history of Ireland. Be sure to grab a pint at the Gravediggers after the tour. The coffee shop an interprerative center are next level. Parking is cheap too. This is insanely worth it.

We recently took a tour at Glasnevin Cemetery, and our guide Shane was absolutely exceptional. He is incredibly well-read, bringing the history of the cemetery and the stories of its notable figures to life with impressive detail and depth. His passion for the subject was evident throughout the tour — every explanation was engaging, thoughtful, and delivered with genuine enthusiasm. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the cemetery and looking for a tour that is both informative and inspiring.

A surprisingly engaging visit with thoughtful guided stories that add depth to the place. The grounds are impressive and peaceful, and walking through them gives a strong sense of history. It’s a meaningful stop if you enjoy places with character and reflection.

Great place to visit and great tour staff

Well maintained cemetery, good view

Indeed, a well-maintained cemetery with food outlets. Despite this, it's not quite the same as the famous Parisian cemetery. (Some have compared it to the one pictured.) However, we will find the botanical gardens there for nature lovers.

Visited for a tour with Shane, he was experienced and helpful for 2 hours

We visited the Cemetry on a bright Wednesday morning. We had booked the Tour and it turned out to be a very wise move. The Tour was excellent and the guide showed us the graves of all the notable people who are buried there. The walk is on very good surface with no inclines or dodgy footpaths. The guide gave us a brief resume of each notable figure at their grave and their standing in Irish history. We would highly recommend this Tour and to round it off we had a lovely lunch in the restaurant nearby.
