This is one of the most historic graveyards in Dublin, and possibly in Ireland. Very popular with tourists from all over the world. Well worth a visit with a tourist guide. I visit very regularly, my son is buried here.

The tour guide Pat was very informative and knowledgeable. The toilets were clean and the wee cafe was a gem.The souvenir shop had some beautiful things but disappointed that they didn't have a lot of souvenirs - actually expected it to be bigger but I had a fantastic time and certainly worth a visit. I did my own tour and had a nice wander around. Though a next time I will (also) book a tour to learn more about the history!

I took the Dead Interesting tour, which is offered less frequently than their main historical tour, but true to its name, it was fascinating! It was also informative and fun. Our tour guide regaled us with stories about Victorian burial practices, the history of the cemetery, and the ordinary--and extraordinary--folks buried there. I highly recommend this tour!
